Gundam SEED Special Edition - Preview

I downloaded the RAW Special Edition. Basically I think its a 4 part series (2 parts were aired in Japan yesterday) and the first 2 parts contain the retreat to earth and desert arc of the Gundam SEED series. The Special Edition basically takes clips from the episodes and compresses them into 2 x 50 minute specials.

Here are some things I think they changed.

I don't think i've seen her crying/mourning the loss of her comrades in the episodes. I could be wrong.

After the attack on Helepolis. The survivors on ArkAngel try to search for survivors.

They find only dead bodies. Mother holding her child to the last.

Athuran Zala visiting his mother's grave.

I think this is Merielle or whatever her name is...

holding onto what looks like paper flowers...

Releasing the flowers into space...

They added alot of shower scenes

Too bad its Kira...

naked? =P

Part 2 shows the Desert Arc (with a new song I think)

and back to the episode clips.

Judging from the RAW. The extra scenes put more emotional impact into the story, there's much more about the deaths in part 1. The horrors of war.
Part 2 the extra scenes focus on Kira and Fllay's relationship.

Thats about it... there's nothing much new about the series. But I picked out a clip for everyone as an example of what the new scenes are like.

so.. u mean that they just cut n pasted clips from the actually eps.?? ugh how gay is that. I was hopin its like an oav like endless waltz or something like that. Im dlin it right now 2. I guess it wouldnt hurt to review some of the stuff.

The real question here is if they put the MSV Astray COmmercials on the end of them as well... If they did then it would be worth the download for that alone IMO.

That and having Multipe GS threads seems a little too much... Maybe I should jsut knock the USA off the other one... Darkhunger had some good explinations about what exactly the SE is about.

Or maybe its all in my head

kxtreme, ur really r new with a-s arent ya?? Y dont u jump over to the daily fansub releases. They should ahve it. Or u can go to anime.mircx.com. That site has pretty much everything there is. From old old old anime to brand spankin new anime. Even the raw ones. I got my GS SE from anime.mircx.com. Still havent wathc it. DOnt have time. So bz studyin for midterm >.< . NEway, u guys happen to no if theres GS season 2 comin out in Oct?? I heard alot of rumors bout it. Some said its GS seasons 2 but other said its a diff. series so i ono. I heard the gs season 2 way back with the "old" a-s. God i luv the way u guys fix up a-s. ^^

Of course I checked the Daily Fansub Release. I do it 3 times a-day. But I haven't tried the anime.mircx.com, I'll try that. Thx Very Happy

The 5 minute OVA's out. Smile

Not much to say, other than the fact that the animation looks smoother than the series, and it explains a bit about what happens after the war. I think it serves its purpose but I guess it's a bit short... Mad

Its basically a one man sub thing.. so don't expect something too great. But you can pretty much see the whole thing on those screenshots darkhunger posted.

Nothing that great in my opinion.

Bah, I guess that would be ok if it was within the series, but as it is this is so pointless...
