It's meant to be part of the series, since it comes with DVD 13 which feature Eps 49 and 50. So for the people who bought the DVD's and didn't watch the series on TV (or fansubs) before it's pretty much a part of the series. And even if they've seen it it's still meant to be watched along with Eps 49 and 50 and not be some kind of standalone episode. |

The "Special Edition" is a two hour TV special that retells the story while the OVA takes place after Ep 50. |

um... The ova was kinda pointless there. It just show clips after the war. I was expectin it would b like 30 mins or something. I had my hope up for this ova 2. Disappointing  |

yeah I feel the same thing about the ova. I was so hyped about it, they should have made it longer. I wonder.....what is Seed 2 gonna be like?

For the 15th time... THERE IS NO SEED 2. At least at the current time. Whether it comes out in 5 years or not is unknown. |

Then why the hell do you post here?
Anyway, I haven't seen this myself, but from what I heard people say that most of the changes are really understood only by people who have watched the series, and that so much stuff is cut out (the desert arc, for example) that you're better off wtching the sries anyway. The dvd's of the series are out already, and you don't have to look too hard to find torrents of Gundam Seed anyway. That's how I filled a gap in the episodes I had.
