Bleh, I'm seriously not that good yet... I mean I'm still in the stages of learning.

About 5 months ago I was nowhere near as good as i am now. I use to draw the eyes too high up, the hair more bulky, the face melon-shaped, and the eyes were just a line that looked like an upside down "U". If I can get that good that fast, then anyone can draw like this if they tried.

This drawing didn't just take hours, it seriously took up weeks... i'd say i worked on the drawing about 5 hours a day, everyday, for a month... and that is something im not proud of. Right now I'm training myself to develop pictures at a quicker rate, but to no success... I'm probably a "perfectionist" you might say, to me, for my drawings, its either got to be good or thrown away. I guess it's because of my brothers critism that made me this way
(also I'm not saying that my brothers cant draw and that his critisicm has no meaning, it's just that he is such a good drawer and every single piece of critisicm is right on the spot)
but yeah, it might take me another month before im finished with my next picture. I'm working on a full-body picture this time.

To tell you the truth, I haven't done many pictures with a full-body so my next picture won't be as good as this one. All these pictures I am drawing are basically practise for me so that i will be able to draw better pictures each time.

So far, my previous picture i drew taught me how to do the face, mouth, eyes, nose and the begining of how to draw hair.
This picture has taught me even more about the eys, nose, hair, neck, and the hands.
So my next picture will teach me how to draw the full-body.

P.S. To Cephadeath: To tell you the truth, if you compare your picture that you showed us, to the pictures I use to draw half a year ago, yours would be better... I'm telling the truth, I even swear on my mothers grave (although shes not dead yet Rolling Eyes) You just got to keep on practicing...

Also about the pictures that I drew half a year ago... well I threw away my entire portfolio of probably 3-4 years of my work, because it was just not good enough... for me that is.

Thanks again for all your comments, sorry for the long post Wink

Lol.... THAT'S why! Damn, The thing is, I only have enough time to put 30 mins to an hour of work in, and I only have a crappy little school notebook to draw in... but seriously, I can't make anything that I work for a long ime on look any good....

HAHA, yer... I actually just use photocopy paper which i put in an A4 display folder. Also most of the time I spent on this picture was either erasing or just looking at it going;
"Something seems odd", or
"WTF am I supposed to do next", or
"The hair needs fixing up", or
"Does a girl actually do something like this?", or
"I wish I had a girl that looked something like this", or
"HEY! Gimme my pencil back Arran, I need it to finish my picture!!!!" (he eventually gave back my special drawing pencil the following day... hehe)

But yer, I just take my time with my pictures... if something looks just a little tiny bit off, I erase it (because that little thing will always come back to haunt ya in the later part of the process).

As the saying goes, "Slow and steady wins the race"

It's a pretty shitty saying though >_>...

Well... hmmmmm, Oh, I've got one... try making a couple pages of a manga, repeatedly drawing the same char in a series of movements, or something like that.... You are pretty much perfect in that pic, except for a bit more detail on the hands.... and the need to look at it all, and see if anything needs fixing (Like the eylash being visible throught the finger)

those a pretty cool drawins, Cephadeath they ain that bad you just need to work on bits of your drawings, you should look into manga books for some good referance and just pay attention to the style used and what sort of style you want to acheive

Haha.. no i dont have a light head just yet (although it feels kinda funny Confused )

And the only medium i used was a crutty old pencil from the bargain shop down the street... although i always use that pencil to draw.

I dun fink i can do a manga just yet, im still not good enough... and also i can't draw the same character repeatedly.
it was my decision to put less detail in the hands because when I did put lots of detail into it, the hand looked kinda manly. And also, the eyelash is supposed to be infront of the hand, so the hand is behind the eyelash. Confused

Thanks Everyone!

Thanks for your comments,

I'm just here to say that I've just recently finished my latest drawing... although I'm not too proud of it, but I did only spend around 3 and a half straight hours on it.

My neck hurts like hell now...

I won't be able to post the pic yet (seeing ass though I dont have a scanner), but rejoice, I'm going over to my friends place tommorow, so by then I'll be able to scan it.

P.S. This picture isn't actually a full-body picture (seeing as though I said before that I'll be drawing a full-body picture), yet it is only a half-body picture.
I'm still not good at drawing legs, so I post-poned my full-body picture and did this other picture instead...

Yer, and I hope to have the picture up by tommorow... YAY Laughing

Thankyou everyone, it's because of you that i was able to be in a good mood to draw!!!

P.S.S. Also, concerning the eyes... I'm glad that you like it. Because it took me 3 years to develop the technique to draw my eyes...
