Magikano Synopsis & Reviews

Another new anime for 2006. The first episode has rolled off the fansubber production line (AnimeU in this case)

First Impressions: Now, this is a ecchi-romance type comedy. We got a witch who tries to seduce the main character, in order to remove some sort of curse. But the catch is, the main character has 3 sisters, who developed a twisted onii-chan complex. I mean twisted, because in addition to spoiling him, they also have the habit of knocking the oniichan senseless and erased his memory whenever he saw them using magic...

The comedy are hilarious so to speak. Not only does it involves the "cute-type" thingy, but also the "evil face-type" or somewhere along those lines. Oh yeah, expect ecchi too...

My verdict: A KIV, something that I think I will not see right after downloading it maybe...

From watching the first episode, I like it so far. Hopefully it'll sustain the comedy and the storyline is kind of original I guess. I'll keep watching.

The style of humor reminded me alot of DigiCharat. To wit, adorable cutesy characters acting unspeakably twisted. Although it hasn't broken any new ground in terms of comedy, it has a very solid style behind it. Mamiya is a refreshing change of pace from my usual experience with romantic anime.

If I have one complaint, it's their choice of using SD character models for fight at the end. It didn't really add anything to the humor. But that's a small problem and the catchy ending theme quickly made up for it.

it's like an ecchi version of rozen maiden. Gonna need to watch more, but that's my first impression of the series so far.

Im definitely feeling this one, hopefully it sustains its comedic side along with the ecchi. Does anyone know how many episodes it is?

it's pretty weird and definitely has many aspects of many animes based on H-games

Is it just me or did [hnemesis] just post the exact same line in Onmyou Taisen Ki? Anyways

Watched the first episode and like it so far. the only thing that bothers me it the wicked expressions. It ruins the cute girl's image. hope this show isn't like Bokusatsu tenshi Dokuro Chan...that show...was weird.

Will keep watching this. looks good.

Yea that guy has been posting the same crap in all these threads.

How is AnimeU's translation quality? I always got the impression that they didn't exactly have very high quality subs compared to some other groups i.e. their subs of Shuffle vs. KnKF and/or Froth-bite. Does anyone have any idea about their subbing quality?

I got no Problem with AnimeU fansub group since they did very well for Shuffle! series. Anyways, about Magikano... I think I've fall for the heroine... ahem... well, she is a witch + school girl + maid + cat eye + Blonde Hair + Double Pony Tail Hair Style + Very Cute + Irresistable Characteristic + She's cool with her Wind Element powers... with all this attributes... I can say I've already hook at the very 1st episode ^^

If only jsy3k would to watch this series I wonder what would he says? ^^

Bloody hilarious. Not only they upped the ecchi factor, they upped the hilariousity factor... Yuri anyone?!! Echhi factor was upped in manyfolds, especially during the fashion battle... and hilariousity ensued when the battle came to an end...

Well they also upped the harem factor, now it's a tussle between two girls for one boy, only one of them is sincere enough. Yuri's kinda cute in the end of it all though

as mistabean said in the very first post, this anime is ok enough to watch but not that much of a block buster type of thing... yeah id probably not watch this anime right after downloading.. maybe if there is nothing else to watch then id go for this... but its still enjoyable to watch... gotta love the comedy and ecchiness of it all.. Razz
