I am wondering if it is possible to decrease the size of a file(kilobytes, bytes, whatever they are called) I have a picture I would like to post up in the fan-art section, but it is WAY over 300 Kb. Any suggestions, or am I just stuck with the size of the picture?? _________________ [img:400:224:9a48d672c1]http://comalies.free.fr/images/ergoproxy.jpg[/img:9a48d672c1]
Which is worse? The madness of following Tao, or the madness of an existence without awareness?

| Decrease its size and/or save it as a JPEG should do the trick. |

But I don't know how to decrease its size-that's why i'm asking! The file is already a JPEG file. If it is possible to decrease the kilobyte size of the file, would that mean it would lessen the sharpness of the image? Is the actual image made up of characters? So it will always have 400 kilobytes(characters) no matter how hard I try to decrese its size?? I'm sorry if I'm being kind of vague about this--I don't really understand it very well. _________________ [img:400:224:9a48d672c1]http://comalies.free.fr/images/ergoproxy.jpg[/img:9a48d672c1]

you can
1) Optimize the JPEG. Save it under more compression.. less quality but less space as well
2) make the image smaller: ie from 600 x 600 pixels to 400 x 400 pixels.
A combination of both will make the image smaller. _________________
