what makes you buy a game?

I'll buy something if I have some decent info on the gameplay and if it's at a decent price, but if there's anything related to anime I'll buy it to either add to the really bad anime game section or the I-can't-believe-it-doesn't-bite game section (go figure). Usually biased, since I'm only and avg. gamer, so I tend to go for the arcade style games and less on the simulation. Any import from Japan that's based on an anime is also a big pro.

first off, ill buy almost anything final fantasy

second, i find a game im interested in and check gamer reviews... if lots of people are rating the game 8-9/10, ill pick it up

I'll buy a game only if it's good or 7/10 and above with my own money

If you like Final Fantasy,I seriously recommend you the SHIN MEGAMI TENSEI (ATLUS) series,it's like FF but way darker... and twisted.... and it's an M-Rated game...... and you have to find out for yourself

To name a few factors that counts, but these thoughts are processed pretty fast as i just look at the game. I'm sure most people dont think too long and hard to buy a game.
-Gameplay
-story
-Graphics
-If its a sequal or prequal to a good game that i have previously played
-Looked at the previews and reviews.

1.)It's price (I only buy games that cost less that US$20.00, most my games are from China and Philippines)

i usually buy a game if my riend has it first and i play and like or sometimes you just KNOW you have to have a certain game.

I buy a game if my friends says its good or ive played it and its good or look at the rateing it gets

The reason i buy a game is because i've read alot of good stuff on it and think it's worth the money. Like World of warcraft. But if you want to play wow you have to buy it :s or....you could host a server but there be to many bugs. I tryed and it's not really fun playing with me and my brother.
Other games i normaly just dl from dc++ or google it ^^

The last few games I bought were mostly for the NDS system. My job requires me to be on the road constantly so its always good to have a portable game when you are waiting in airports.

The ability to play online with friends is the major factor why I buy PC games. It's a good way to get in touch with old friends who've moved out of the city.

i dont take to much risk on buying games , but if i find the game really interesting , i'd do research on it first before buying it , gameplay,sounds etc , reviews on it . But if its a series that i liked i'd buy even if i dont have the system. i bought RE4and a gamecube when it came out.

Usually i search around the web for the game back ground and graphic. Then i use gamefly to rent the game i want to buy, after few days of playing, if i like it, ill buy the game.
