I know 2 fans sites to win prizes at, but I bet most of you alredy know of them so I whont even post them unless someone asks.
So which one is your favorite?
I personaly like DQ8 over all. Finaly get to see my characters in combat. But they still don't let the hero speak. |

| I agree with you that DQ8 is a good game. I also enjoyed Grandia very much also. Dragon Quest is actually more popular than Grandia and I also agree that I also like it more than Grandia myself. |

Funny thing is, Squarenix now has the rights to both of those. Grandia used to be the Gamearts property, now I guess Squarenix is publishing it.
Squarenix is like the Microsoft of the RPG world. Since the merger, Squarenix seems to be assimilating all the big RPG franchises. _________________ [IMG:258:200]http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v435/ypark/sigs/3fsn.png[/img] |

| it seems so. as long as i don't see squal or cloud or some other final fantasy character apear in the middle of xeno saga games or in a totaly differnt rpg i don't realy mind... unless they start messing with teh story lines to much. |

Nah, you don't have to worry about that in Xenosaga. Namco still owns Xenosaga series, though Xenogears was from Squaresoft originally. _________________ [IMG:258:200]http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v435/ypark/sigs/3fsn.png[/img] |

It's not like square made those games they're only publishing them same as Star Ocean series.
Never played Dragon Quest and to be honest I don't have that much interest in it either. Grandia on the other hand is one of my favorite games, they may not have the best storys or anything like that but I enjoyed both the first and second one alot. |

Well theres nothing wrong with being a fan of the game, unless you'll kill for that game, then you have some issues.
Anyway, never really played any Dragon Quest games, but I heard its good and its good to see familar faces from the Dragon Ball series. Grandia is my favourite and just can't wait for III to come out in North America. Gameplay is better than ever and the graphics are just awesome. _________________ I don't care if you can make the impossible possible.

| it seems the combat system for Grandia 3 will be somewhat like Xenosaga 2. |

The game length for DQVIII is supposed to be really long. I can't wait to totally immerse myself in a fantasy world again and forget about my horrible, horrible life.

In my opinion, game system and story line in most of DQ series is better than Grandia but I also like GrandiaII too. |

DQ VIII is really a long game; you gotta have patient for it otherwise don't even begin with it.
I've played it now allready for 68 hours and I'm still at level 35, but the game has a lot to offer like the monster arena, the alchemy pot and the mini-medals side-quest, I personally doesn't like the casino but that's my opinion.
The bottomline is: if you don't have patient or don't like oldschool RPG fightsystem, don't bother with it. |
