| I try to avoid walkthrough's as much as I can, but it can be hard not to use them. I have only used walkthroughs about 3-4 times in my life though. I use them if i get stuck, stop playing for a week then try again, if i'm still stuck stop playing for about a month, then try again. If I fail that time i use a walkthrough. I dont like using them though. takes the fun from the games. |

Walkthroughs is okay. I only use it when I am really stuck and all, most of the time I ask people or I just play till I get it on my head. I usually save the game and then mess around for awhile till I get it. LOL
So there my answer, Yes, but not as often. |

I usually don't use walkthroughs. The only time I've actually used one, was after I bested a game. I wanted to find all the secrets I didn't find the first time, and therefore read a walkthrough.
Did this with Baldurs Gate: Shadows Of Amn and Deus Ex. In Baldurs Gate after I finished it the 2nd time I think, and in Deus Ex after the 3rd or 4th time through it.
Otherwise I never use walkthroughs. Voted for option 2. _________________ "It is also paradox that the earth moves round the sun, and that water consists of two highly inflammable gases. I used to use walkthroughs when I was a bit younger. I remember buying a walkthrough for Pokemon red/blue because I was terribly lost in the cave without light and I didn't have a pokemon who could perform flash.
Walkthroughs are alright to use after you beat a game, you know so you can get that 100% completion _________________ PM some funny pick-up lines please > |

hmmm, i sued to use walkthroughs a lot not because i was lost in the game, its just that i want to find every single item, any secret which can be missed, and i dont want to miss anything...
nowadays, when i play games, i dun care as much about finding all the secrets, as long as i beat the game, so i dun use them anymore... |

| Well, I try to go on my own. But sometimes, I have no clue what I'm doing. For example, I use an emulator, so the games I play don't tell me what things do. So obviously I have to use a walkthrough/guide. As long as it doesn't dictate your game play, it's okay. After all, the walkthrough is there to help you. But I still don't know what fairy water and full moon herb in dragon water do :pouts: |

| I go at a game without one and beat it that way The only time I'd ever even use one would have to be when I'm trying to complete all of the stuff that ya just would have never thought of doing. Like the Obel Lake Quest in Final Fantasy VIII. |

In lot of adventure games (e.g. Grim fandango, Monkey island, etc.) sometimes a walkthrough is neccessary. People tend to get stuck often in adventure games since not all items' usage are easy to figure out.
You could literally waste away hours just trying to figure out what you missed in order to progress to the next step of the story.
But just use it only when you get stuck, so I think that's ok. _________________ [IMG:258:200]http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v435/ypark/sigs/3fsn.png[/img] |

I use walkthroughs cause i can't stand not getting a secret or not taking advantage of something when im going through the game. The reason i don't play it through once without a walkthrough then play it a second time to get all its secrets is because i hate playing something over again cause then it feels like a waste of time (even though playing video games are already a waste of time ) |

The only game I use a walkthrough with is.......
*drum rolls*
All the Pokemon series, embarassing as it is, but yes, I use them for Pokemon and Pokemon only. _________________ Life is full of truth, but I'd rather live in lies. I know if I live in lies, everything arent for real, but if you say you love me, is it something I could feel? |
