Do you use walkthroughs?

haha hey at lest i'm honest ... haha ... FAQs rule ... without them i'd be banging my head on the wall all the time !!

I try to stay away from walkthroughs as much as possible until I beat the game. Once I beat a game, I allow myself to use codes, cheats, and walkthroughs as much I feel like. I already beat the game, so there is no dishonor there in my eyes.

Only time I'll really turn to walkthroughs before I beat a game is when I get insanely stuck, which most of the time is due to me just thinking too much and missing something right in front of my face. But those occurances aren't common at all. A handful of times the past few years, maybe.

Normally I don't use one but as I'm now playing DQ VIII I need it for the alchemy pot as it's damn hard to figure it out on your own for making some of the items.

Well when I play first I don't use FAQS, but when I finish a game, I use to unlock all the features...

I have a few times but I hate doing so because it takes all the fun out of the game but I can't stop once I start.

I've used walkthroughs on games I can't seem to pass, or for strageties on how to defeat a boss I can't. Also, on survival games like the Silent Hill series which has difficult puzzles. Games I've used guides for:

-Silent Hill series
-XenoGears [For strategy against ID fight]
-Resident Evil 2

And uhh, I think that's about it...

they dont really ruin the fun for me...

i only read the parts that im on i dont skip ahead or anything
and when i play it.. it helps out a lot

faqs and cheats ruin the game .... well it is fun to use cheats but ...
after some time later you will get bored easily ... so ... i only use cheats and faqs after i finished the game once ... no matter how complicating the puzzle is ... no matter how hard the boss is ... try to beat it on your own ...
after that you'll like HELL YEAHHHHH and feel like you're on top of the world .... you know what i mean ... unless you never played fair before lol/jk no offence

i do sometimes, and only when i am completely clueless (can we say water temple in OoT?) lol but usually i try the game first without it, so i can enjoy. If i want to get every item / playing a game again, then i use a FAQ

Sigh... I'm a sucker for walkthroughs. I really hate replaying games in recent years because I just don't have the time to devote to video games anymore. It doesn't help either that I'm almost a perfectionist when it comes to playing video games. I must have every available character, weapon, armor, and so forth at my disposal. I admit I use them quite often.

Using walkthrough's ruins the game sometimes, but I do use it if im really really stucked or screwed . I try to not to use it as much as possible until i beat the game.
