Yes! There could never be anything other than that cover of Fly Me to the Moon. I'm not keen on covers, especially ones that come from non-English speaking countries but this one fits NGE perfectly.
I also really liked the music they played during the action scenes. The impression is so strong that I can always recall the music, even 3 years after I saw an episode of NGE. hmmm i really need to get the box set. |

I loved just about all the Inuyasha op/ending songs..
hehe and i agree.. Suzumiya does have a super funnn op .. and especially the ending..
and bleach has the most interesting ones  |

true the opening scene of bleach really is unique especially cause it really has nothing to do with the anime. they do look awesome though, acting all gangsta

| most fitting as in how it sounds or what the words actally mean? because if its how it sounds some of them dun make any sense word wise but ones tht make sense word wise dun sound right |

im sorry, but i hated the first opening song from bleach. bleh. But in my book i think Naurto has had the best opening songs/clips, and some good ending ones.

i think a good one would be Excel Saga
the opening song and animation looked and sounded funny so yeah its a good one

no offense cause personally i hate it too, i only like the art in the first one cause it contrasted from the plot of the anime so that gave it brownie points. the most fitting bleach opening has to be Ichirin no Hana by the best japanese rock band ever in existence HIGH AND MIGHT COLOR!!!!! the song and the art went together well and they both got the essence of bleach perfectly.
naruto has some that are okay but most of em are by guys and i personally like girls singing instead of guys, dont ask why i just do. plus i like bleach better than naruto so that might have something to do with it

true, the art and all is pretty good in bleach intro, and the song by High and Mighty color rocks. But in naruto, there are a few ending themes sung by women, and even an intro or two i believe. In the case of women singers, i think chobits had better music

Sailor moon Opening #1 : DALI - Moonlight Densetsu
and maybe the first ending cant remember.... anyway for the op it say perfectly the emotion of the main char and it got the same tone as the serie
Monster Opening #1 : Kuniaki Haishima - Grain
Ending #1 : David Sylvian - For the Love of Life
Ending #2 : Fujiko Heming - Make it Home
first the op it just says more than word im moved every time I hear it, it just sound mysterious and dramatic ... simply perfect
For the David Sylvian ``For the love of life There a trade of We could lose it all But we'll go down fighting``
The second Ed goes in the same way they both send a message of hope, to not surrender even if the fight is hard and it seem imposible to win. Like the situation of Tenma
Dears Opening #1: Under 17 - Love Slave
For those who haven't seen this anime there slave and love involved... love slave...
I'll stop at those 3 because I just realise that there just too many that fit like a glove the anime |

Puzzle, the opening to Welcome to the NHK! seems to be the most fitting of any anime opening I've heard so far. It sets up the mood for a light-hearted anime, with a sense of hope and/or impending romance.
The ending to NHK!, Odoru Akachan Ningen, is also prolly the best ending I've heard. It's fast, it's energetic and it's crazy--much like the anime itself. A great way to end the episode, in my opinion.

Heart of Sword by T.M. Revolution
1/3 Junjou na Kanjou by Siam Shade
both ED of Rurouni Kenshin...
i like how heart of sword sounds.. it gives added effect especially when they showed that fight scene of Saito and Kenshin...
and yes Fly Me To The Moon by Frank Sinatra
of Neon Genesis Evangelion... that hit the spot just right..
