I'm hoping this is the best area for this, but here goes anyway....
I know there's some software out there that lets you enables you to get screencaptures of off winamp media files (and whatever other format these episodes come in, it just says "file"). However, somehow someway I was able to get two images to stay using the standard MicroSoft tools (media player, paint, realplayer, and photo editor, plus DivX player), but now I can't remember how I did it. Usually the images I paste into Paint just disappear once I turn off my media player. Does anyone know the best way to do this, or can direct me to easy to install, easy to use software? _________________

You can use BSPlayer to capture screenshot of any video file that you use as long as you have the required codec to play the anime. If you want to download the player, just go to www.bsplayer.org and install the player there. It also functions as a video player so it is really convenient =) _________________

huh...never knew I could use BS Player for that. I have this program called "MGI Photosuite" from my printer but now I got Photoshop and you can do it there too although I forgot how to do it in Photoshop. Sorry. _________________ The hardest person to forgive is yourself~

I am apparently the only other one that does it very old fashioned.
i play it full screen with whatever media player i'm using, then i hit 'Print Screen' to capture a screen shot, placing the ss on the clipboard
then i just paste it into MSpaint or Photoshop, and resize and edit to my liking
then the important thing to do is save the file...
every time i've done this the pic stays around no matter if the media player is closed or not _________________ [img:500:184:c0d8dc4eaa]http://kontek.net/LizardDude/ManagerSig20bacon.jpg[/img:c0d8dc4eaa] |

| Media Player Classic also allows screen captures. |

use bsplayer just press "p" for the scrren cap and it will save it somewhere in the bsplayer directory "p" is for original size and "shift+p" is for the size that you set it too
the other one i would suggest is virtualdub but i haven't used that for a while _________________ [img:387:120:36cb7a5440]http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v98/idjota/BL.jpg[/img:36cb7a5440] |

That's odd though, cause I do it the same way, but the image I save turns all black once I close the media player. Like I said, it only worked for me twice, but I can't understand why only those times and not any other. I'm gonna try the other methods people posted too, thanks for the replies minna-san! _________________

Bsplayer is so good!
But I have a question.
-If u have a archive.rm or archive.rmvb -what will you do? How?
-I usually use screen saver utility or someting (^^) _________________ [IMG:96:73:f72ee22bdb]http://img295.imageshack.us/img295/7770/prueba28ag.gif[/img:f72ee22bdb] |

| since MPC can do screen captures as well, just play your real medias through MPC and capture from there. To play real media to your MPC, use Real Alternative. |
