Is it just me or does Ril's face remind you of this CD cover?

Looks like another cyber punk anime. It sure look like a high budget anime, but often times high budget doesn't always mean a great anime.

The theme of the anime is very Masamune Shirow like. Actually, I think this theme is THE most ancient concept of anime; robots and humans living side by side, which was Tezuka Osamu's favorite theme.

So far, I don't see anything that stands out other than animation quality. But, I've only watched the first ep therefore I can't expect much yet. Though the animation quality sure is amazing considering this is a tv series.

I haven't seen the opening yet, I hear it's Paranoid Android from Radiohead. I've never heard the short version of Paranoid Android, only versions I know are over 6 minutes long, I'm interested in seeing the opening.

Ya, I thought that they look alike too.

Overall, I really like the first ep, even though there was alot to take in. I can't wait to hear the theme songs. A long wait until the 25th. Crying or Very sad

it got me interested when i saw the trailers then listened to evanescense then saw how similar they are... its fricky.. but cool.. Razz

I knew I wasn't the only one thinking that! haha

At first Lir seemed like such cold boring character, but at the end of first episode when tears were coming out of her eyes, it gave the impression that she's human after all.

Did nobody else have the problem of not being able to hear any dialogue? I could hear most of the sound effects, and what I am assuming was all of the background music and such, but absolutely no dialogue. Lips moving, subtitles going, no voices. Crying or Very sad

What could it be? Would it have something to do with AAC5.1, whatever that is? I have the latest version of the K-Lite Mega Codec pack.

the tears shed by Lir hinted that she is a complex character... and that sparks further interest in knowing more... Very Happy

pretty kickass first episode. Like people said, a lot to take in but what other way can they set the anime up so the story can get-a-flowin?

Great animations, thought the turning with the gun (which was nicely done in 3D - the gun i mean) was bitchin.

I think this series wll be one of the top in my list. I really like the animation style, and the story so far. And, does anyone know what the "proxy" are? Are they manmade, or were they people before?
