Ithink it had something to do with the boomerang project.

I got the feeling that

Raul was more pissed that Vincent had taken Pino. Not sure why, and I could be completely wrong.

Also

I think there may be some relation between those cave people and the "humans" that are being grown in the medical facility at Romdeau. Again, I could be way off. I haven't checked back through the episodes at all.

17 was great. Much better now the story is more immediately relevent.

anyhow epd 15 was just funny...and it answered some unanswered questions

I second Ultra.

Wasn't the game show to get rid of Proxies? It's some disgusting game show that kills people/proxies.

Also, Pino was Raul's auto-rave. Because he was so into his job as a perfect citizen, he didn't really have a family (the baby and the mom that died, with Pino in the earlier episodes). It seems like Raul loved Pino more than his own family. Remember the woman (Raul's Wife) was a real bleep to Pino and Vincent?

I think there's a connection between Real and Monad Proxy. It seems like Ergo Proxy fell in love with Monad Proxy. Maybe that's why Real is having intimate feelings for Vincent.

Every episode is related to each other, even if it looks like the most random thing you've ever seen. I did like the episode where Pino had Real's make up on. I love how Real becomes attached to Pino.

Anyone think Pino is love? *squeels*

wow harsh words fae especially since you still gave it an 8 out of 10.

I don't think these are fillers anyway I think this is the actuall concept of the show. They have to fit the other proxies some how. Plus it seems that the proxies fight the way shown, except Ergo and some others who actually battle.

I dunno, i think the animation quality has gone down substantially in recent episodes as well.

Yeah, the fillers are a little annoying. They seem to have little purpose other than to throw odd bits of information at you. Plus, the uber complicated philosophical stuff that's constantly forced on the viewer is not helping. I mean, it's interesting, sure... If you're doing a philosophy or psychology doctorate. It's not really adding to the anime though, because it just seems to be philosophy for philosophy's sake and it's bogging down the story.

Proxy is still a good anime, but it's nowhere near reaching the potential promised by the first few episodes. Still, you never know, they could still turn it around. If they don't, it'll go down in history as a brave attempt at a true thinkers action series. Not that there's been much action, of course... Rolling Eyes

The only way this anime can redeem itself to a 9 in my eyes now is for the ending to be good.. something like Lil Mayer being in truth a copy of Proxy Monad whom he loved.

Something like that....

well...i won't agree with you wanting the anime to end or work a certain way. i mean yes..maybe you feel like...you want this to happen because it is best for the character. but haha let the anime run the way it does.....

however, your suggestion for the Ergo Proxy to be like something like Monad resembling to Rea-l Mayer. Since Daedelus is as suspected to already have made a copy of her already who generates growth rapidly. last time we saw little Rea-l and then Ergo ran into the copy who seems to be older at this point.

but it would be a good turn of events if Monad was Rea-l. Vincent will blast his pants haha....

but that's just crazy ;]

Before you bust my chops... think about it for a second... My favorite 20-30 episodes series is Basilisk... who had only 1 filler episode and followed by Berserk which had ZERO filler episodes.... both series were solid stories and I did not know who the heck will live or what will happen at the end till the end. (Berserk was crazy like that cause you didn't realize the first episode was after the end till you've seen the end.) Even Gungrave, solid 26 episodes no filler and the ending was not very unpredictable but not what you expected.

How many fillers did Ergo Proxy end up having? So far at least 6 episodes..

So how much do you wanna bet that the ending is going to be the hero (Vincent/Ergo Proxy) and the heroine (Real Mayer) will be reunited and be happy?

I hope Ergo Proxy ends well... otherwise the series will be the biggest disappointment to me since Samurai Champloo.

yea i agree. Berserk was an amazing series along with the manga too.

but Ergo Proxy yeah hope it won't disappointing but honestly, it's that kinda anime that i really am not putting too much heart on when it pertains to outcomes really. like you said Samurai Champloo was a disappointment..but with interesting choices for an outcome and they screwed that over but

I think the problem that this anime has is that the bar was set really high by the hype and the first few episodes. If it had come out of the blue and had a sh*t start, I'm sure we'd all be lauding it as a work of genius by now! Laughing Even with all the fillers. Wink

Another issue I have with this anime (that I've just thought of!) is that, for a carefully created fictional world, it feels VERY sparsely populated. I'm not talking about the world outside Romdeau here, I'm talking about the minor characters. Sure they've had quite a few over the course of the series, but they all (with the possible exception of Queen who was killed off annoyingly early on) feel very caricatured. They don't feel like characters in their own right, more like they feel like plot devices and sketches to demonstrate how crazy the world is. This makes it very difficult for the viewer to care about what happens to the world...

Hmmm ive been wondering, can Proxy 1 and Ergo Proxy be diff, but then in ep 21...well yeah, also in ep 20, I got so confused. Was it because of the confusion of that dream did he start reacting like the way he was in ep 21? Also I agree with Nef, the quality of the drawings are getting worse, well not declining that much, but a lot diff from the beginning. Also the fillers, although stupid, are trying to throw information at us "subtlely" (emphasis on the subtely)
lol was it becuz Pino ran into the city did all the entourage start going crazy?

Oh yeah I rmb someone asking about why the rocket was fired. Well my theory was that becuz Raul did not want to lose to Vincent (he stole pino and he got away) therefore he tried to destroy Vincent's past, the mosque. Though it was weird how the area shown signs of conflict already (the same auto-reiv in the episode about the fortress were littered inside the throne room, also its spelt auto-reiv, if u look closely in the report when u thot Re-l supposedly died, it said that she was killed by an infected auto-reiv ) Very Happy Why did the Proxy kill the machine by the way, (the machine remindded me of the old guy in the memory episode)
