crikey! even Nanshi fansubs has released an Ergo Proxy ep. Spoiled for choice....

for those of you that don't believe vincent is the other proxy go back and watch episode one. the proxy is wearing his jacket. and like someone else stated, theres no way he could fight a proxy and not be killed if he wasn't one. i think the proxy is probably another personality and not him controlling it and he is not aware of what happens because he blacked out and woke up in the beginning of episode 3 with blood on his hand.

anyways just wanted to add that the animation is so great i can't wait to watch the next episode.

I still cant believe that Vincent is the proxy... In his dream, he does indeed see another person, but the hair of that other person is DIFFERENT than that of the other Proxy.

Wow Ergo Proxy is so confusing. So Vincent's the second Proxy eh? That actually explains a lot. Like why he has cool eyes and the council/city want him and other stuff (like the necklace).

I am curious as to how people pieced that together. Maybe I'm just dense?

ep 4 = superb

Vincent has a freaky dream while in a coma for 10 days.

We see the world outside Romdeau properly for the first time. Very post-apocalyptic scenery and they mention a disease that kills 80% of people who leave the city. Vincent meets other outcasts who live on the fringes of Romdeau salvaging scrap from the city.

Lil finds the original Proxy's corpse using a map of infected Auto-rave escape route made by Vincent.

I noticed that there's two sets of everything in Vincent's old apartment. Hints at a split personality perhaps?

There was a note by Yoroshiku fansubs during the episode about a PDF file that explains some of the terms used in Ergo Proxy. Anyone know where I can get it?

Im starting to like this series. It has solid and sometimes excelent animation, cool character designs, lots of atmosphere furthermore it has not tried to explain every little detail but instead allowed the viewer to form their own opinions!

The animation and the cyberpunk vibe got me interested. The story and mystery has kept me watching.

Anyone watched the Anime-Jiyuu releases of Ergo Proxy?

Are they better than the other subs (quality and translation wise) or pretty much the same?

Dunno, i work with Yoroshiku fansubs, and they release HQ versions... Also, You know that Nanashi will release high quality stuff. Since Nanashi is doing a joint with another group for Ergo proxy...

I hope the pace picks up. Episode 4 was really slow.

No, I think Vincent is the Proxy. Did you see the part where Pino jumps into the water and doesn't find him? After all the mess is done, Lil gets up and sees Vincent on the water.

What if Vincent is a 'virus' source that turns autoraves into a proxy? Proxy = A person authorized to act for another; an agent or substitute. Pino could have jumped in the water to jump out in order to save Vincent. Remember how spontaneous her actions were?
