Narutaru XD I still can't understand why did they do it :s Some strange animals with powers came out, and suddenly everyone own one, even your friend that wants to kill you, for nearly no reason, so you kill her, and then... THE END O_o (this manga seems childish at first, but it become horrible soon after...)

FLCL is a great example od a pointless show...but shows like excel saga and FLCl are so funny that they can pull off a pointless plot.

Evangelion

As most know about half of it's understandable and then the creator flipped out. End of Evangelion makes absolutely no sense to me.. I had no idea everything was made out of TANG or whatever.. Thats as much as I'll say about it.. makes my head hurt.

I only read the Evangelion manga, but I understood that, although I don't know about the anime... 0___0;

The anime that made no sense to me was...Sailormoon. Why didn't the war just end? Why not send an army instead of 1 or 2 subbordinates? If it included the usual 'boss battle' for every couple of the peons in the army they'd be done for. I mean, the logic...I avoided it ever since.

I like anime's where I don't understand what the heck is going on and yeel out stuff like: "WTF?", "Huh?!?!", "The hell?!" every 5 minutes or so.

I understand parts of Excel Saga and FLCL, they're great, but 'bout the weirdest anime's ever.
But I really didn't always know what's going on, I also had that in Elf Princess Rane(great fun).

Weirdness top 3 imo:

People that watch a total of 3 eps. of a series and don't understand it get what they deserve. A lot of the anime that people say they don't understand tend to be parodies (Excel Saga and Puni puni Poemy are good examples) Others tend to point out the culturl differences between Japan and the rest of the world (the japanese have no problems understanding them, after all anime is made for Jaoanese audiances). Others have a lot of random seeming action that confuses people where if you use the pause button every once and a while to let your brain catch up (or watch more then once) it slowly sinks in (like FLCL). Sometimes it's just the writer and/or director that's messed up (like in NGE. I heard that Shiji's whining stemmed from the directors own manic depressive problems).

Yeah I've found a couple of anime that have been confusing but if I liked them I tried to understand what was going on, If they sucked I didn't bother. The only difference was NGE but that was becuase I bought the box set on the strength of so many good reviews saying "this is the greatest anime of all time". Thet was a fairly expensive lesson in not believing that even a lot of opinions saying the same thing will nessasarily reflect my own.
