Anime that made no sense to you what-so-ever

Umm .. actually, if I turn off the subtitles when I watch anime, then any anime I watch would make no sense to me Laughing

As for FLCL, it is a show which has to be watched twice. I didn't understand a thing in my first watch. Then when I re-watched it, I saw a coming-of-age story about Naota and how Haruko influenced him to become braver and more mature Wink

I didn't care about its references to Japanese anime history and other symbols in FLCL as those symbols have no relevance to the storyline. Hence, I never visited those FLCL fansites which explain those symbols.. don't see a point of it Wink

I agree that Blame and End of Evangelion are meaningless crap like many of you mentioned, though. I also agree that the symbolisms in Air TV are nothing but meaningless bull. The TV series of Evangelion, however, is excellent. But End of Evangelion is a pointless crap.

Akira. Akira! AKIRA!!!! Did not understand one bit. People who'd seen it (and understood) stated that you simply had to see it over and over again till you saw the light (?). For me, I simply couldn't be bothered to do that, so I picked up the manga, and after reading that, finally understood what had happened in the anime.

I reckon Bakumatsu Kikansetsu Irohanihoheto could sit here. 10 episodes in and I still can't understand what the main story is - are we following the head or are we watching history unfold or are we watching an alternative story against a historical backdrop? What is it supposed to be? Not to mention nothing makes sense, but that could be just my lack of knowledge for Japanese history...

Shingetsutan- For the most part I understood but there were a few parts that confused me like why he killed the one girl in the first place... and how he didn't remember it.

Kiba... THE ENDING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Retarded!!!!!!! How was that ending effecatious to my health? It just made my stress level go up!!!!!!!!!!!

The first 3 episodes were just weird and random. But when I watched the last one, I just happened to understand everything.
