Is anyone disturbed with the trend of overly sized boobs?

i really dont mind at all. it usually adds to the anime, cuz at some point or another some character is gonna point out how big a girls boobs are. but as was the case with grenadier and tendou rushuna, those WERE rather monstrous. but at least she could an unlimited supply of ammo in there.

i dont really care ...its anime.... there will ALWAYS be at least one female character with unusually large breasts, its just how japanese artists are. im pretty sure that theres some anime with out girls with big boobs....i dont know... its ANIME...- -"

If anything you should be disturbed by them saucer eyes.

Even female superheroes in American comics have unrealistic proportions.

Looking back into older anime as well... When has their been a period without big breasts?

Well... This is something that I don't think will change anyway. Girls like Tsukasa from Ichigo 100% looked alot better to me then girls like Aya did. Maybe despite my constant viewing of anime, I haven't lost my sense of realism?

Yeah, that is starting to be a problem, but it isn't in all anime. One thing about the japanese highschoolers though is I htink that they start school two years later than here, so really that might be accurate. Anyways the large breasts thing adds a comedic potential. For instance Mai-Otome ep. 10(might be 11). There's a funny scene in there, which proves that "men are pigs". (being one, I can honestly say that)
I can honestly say though, that I prefer girls with smaller breasts vs. excessively stupid unrealistic size, which is why I don't like it when that happens.

Actually....what's anime without big boobs? almost all anime have them... i think its a distinguishing factor that evolved with anime^^

umm @ times~! i'm not really into animes that over exaggerate things..lol. but the one anime that did disturb me a lil was in tenjho tenge...i mean EVERY girl had the same size boobs....and that's just really unrealistic..but watever..i can cope~!

If you're not into big boobs then you'd better keep the hell away from Eiken. Not that it is a good anime to begin with (basing this comment on reviews, not experience), but at least one of the characters has breasts so big that each would weight about the same as the rest of her body (I do know this from experience, I caught a few clips from Eiken from an AMV). Seriously they are so big that it is kind of sick.

This coming from a guy who has no problem with big boobs in Anime. I really don't care about it too much, I just leave it to the animators to choose the cup size. I don't really think that the boob size matters as long as it is done in a tasteful manner.

lol i like this topic...............and i think u can never have too meny big breasts in an anime lol its just the way its always been no matter where in the world men in general love big breasts and its done to make em happy lol.............. it all depends on ur tastes thats about it and most animators try to make the anime more apealing by adding some BIG gunz

It's not so much being realistic or not. It whether the anime depends on those boobs to appeal to an audience. If boobs is all that the anime offers and nothing else then you know there is some real problem with the anime.
