how far would you go to read a good manga

Seriously though I really hope to learn Japanese someday so I can better understand and enjoy Manga. I just have no idea where I'm going to find the time. I wouldnt move there or anything...

Anyways I'm happy to finally be a commoner. I'm go out shopping for good forum avatar as of tommorrow and wait a few days before I post again. I'm really enjoying being part of an interesting and fast moving forum community. Very Happy

Well it all depends on "HOW" good the manga is. I tend to go to great lengths to get something i really like. Although how far is hard to tell... although i feel i can safely say that its farther than the average person would go.

im basically a leech...i keep all my stuff on my comp, and i just go around asking my friends whether or not they've heard of any good mangas/animes

I've driven 45 miles to a friend's house, just to see a newly released Initial D volume.

700 miles huh? that doesn't quite sound plausible

anyway the farthest i have ever gone for manga is when i forcefully took a volume of FMA (not sure which one) from a FMA otaku and ran like hell for the next 10 minutes to shake her off. of course she found me before i got past a third of the volume and....... well lets just say i got lynched, by her, she's like a fugin' tiger with her claws
