Hi guys,

Would someone who's read Monster manga or read part of it please write a brief introduction to it?

We are just about ready to put Monster on the website but since I haven't read the manga yet I can't write an intro for it.

A short paragraph will do just fine ... refer to some of the other introductions written for our other mangas online.. Thanks guys!

Dr Tenma, a Japanese doctor who has found success in Germany, has just operated on a local internationally famous vocalist. The life he saved gave much credit to the reputation of his hospital, to the joy of his fiance, Eva and her father, the Director of the hospital.

However coming out from the operation, a Turkish family ranted and raged at Dr Tenma for disregarding the life of a Turkish man and thus his death. The puzzled Tenma was befuddled and becomes confused, reproaching himself for the life lost for fame.

On the next occasion, history repeats itself again for Dr Tenma as he faces the choice of performing an operation on an unknown boy or the influential local politician. Deciding to 'do the right thing', he saved the life of the boy at the cost of the life of the politician, and now, Tenma falls from the graces of his former patrons into the shadows. He cursed and ranted and cried. Some days later, obstacles to his career path are mysteriously 'removed'. Dr Tenma is suddenly elevated to the Directorship. However... the boy he saved has also mysteriously vanished...

Darn you beat me too it.Anyhow heres another summary.

Dr. Tenma is a Japanese man working in Germany. He has it all, incredible medical skill, a great job, a beautiful fiancee. He becomes disillusioned with the hospital politics though, when one day he's ordered to forgo operating on a critically injured man in favor of someone who was more famous. After this point, he decides he will do what he thinks is right, regardless of politics.

One day, a young boy and his younger sister were brought in. The boy had a bullet in his head, an operation that the doctor knows only he is capable of completing successfully. But soon after a politician was brought to the hospital and the high ups in the hospital want Dr. Tenma to leave the boy to operate on the politician. Dr. Tenma decides that he'll do what's right and save the young boy's life.

The young boy's operation was a success, but the surgeons operating on the politician fail, prompting his life to fall apart. Dr. Tenma is passed over for a promotion and his fiancee becomes cold to him and eventually leaves him.

But soon after, strange murders begin to occur, ones that benefit Dr. Tenma greatly and though he becomes the #1 suspect, they have no evidence against him. But it seems that the boy whose life he saved has a hand in things, and that he is much more than he seems...

Kaiser may I also recommend putting 20th Century Boys? its by the theam mangaka nad its alos terrfic.

whew, this manga is excellent. I'm already nearly done with volume four...

two of the pages in chapter 32 are misplaced.

http://www.anime-source.com/banzai/modules.php?name=Manga&rop=display&chapterid=43&pagenumber=10&totalpages=24

that one and then the page after the next I think need to be switched

You are correct, shoangore.

The pages concerned have been corrected.

Thank you for helping us spot the errors. If anyone else sees something that seems out of place, please feel free to point them out *thumbs up*
