there's a monster inside each of our heart..whether it's us who control them or they control our mind..is up to us.
huhuhu..i like this manga very much..i've read until volume 13..andit seems it will continue until many many volumes later..the story is damn complicated yet the author is always successful in making us feel anxious.
i wonder what gonna happen w/ tenma later..i suggest u to read this manga as soon as it's ready here. ^_^ |

i agree with you too... i would like to be like stanier... and i think stainer should be the main charcter and not DR.tenma, since stainer is fighting to help other and protect other and also even trying to bring out his long lost feeling... i don't think he should die....  |

Ya... I'm a slow reader and I finished the entire manga with in two days. It took me two days because I started reading on a school day and so I only had a few hours once I got back from school until I had to get to my hwk... and also I had a chapter missing which took me forever to get a hold of but a very kind Moderator of A source helped me out  |

I'll agree that the main idea that is portrayed in this manga is not as powerful or thought provoking as in death note (I've taken to believe that the idea or suggestion that launched Death Note is the notion "It alright to kill a criminal/murderer" while the notion launching off Monster would be "You musn't allow a demon to live (esp. if you've cheated them from death)"), but I think the structure of the story is much more powerful and that the characters are more engrossing... almost imposing. One character that's probably left a large impact in my mind would be Grimer. It's the first time I've seen a character that fights so hard to be so kind without understanding what true emotion is... truly amazing...

I have to say that this manga is the most thought provoking I've ever read. It's actually a pity that I read it so quickly. I think I just may go back and reread it much slower so that I can better consider some of the questions it brings up. I was wondering though if anyone would like to chat about some of the ideas that it opens a reader to:

A monster inside each of us? Can any human be changed into a monster?
Brainwashing? Is it possible to actually create a monster or does one have to have a certain mentality or strength to survive such ruthless brainwashing techniques?
Should you really kill another? Could Johan have ever been saved? Did Tenma make a mistake in completely giving up hope with Johan? At what age or at what point should you decide to give up hope and decide to lay blaim on the person rather than their predicament?
Just some thoughts... I hope I'm not boring anyone ^_^; |

| This manga is practically uniqu among all those I've read, in that it has a constant maturity factor; it reads like the finest novels I've encountered, coupled with a high quality in graphic art. I'd recommend it high school book lists. |
