well it's depends on the ending... if it's bad ending i'd fell really bad and start to hate the anime... but if it's good ending well that's really been a relief since usually i watch every anime in one go, no matter how many episodes they have haha...

Sometimes I just feel satisfaction when I finish a series. Today I finished The Melancholy of Suzumiya Haruhi and was more like "That was a good series" than anything else.

I guess how I feel at the end of a series is a reflection of how much I connect to the characters or story. When I finished Full Metal Panic I felt like I had just been vomiting for several consecutive hours. A reflection of how I hated every single character in the series along with the story with a fiery passion. When I finished Suzuka I felt so sad that it was over. Probably because I could so easily relate to the characters and enjoyed the series.

for me i guess it depends on the ending, if i feel it's a rushed/truncated wait-for-the-rest end it will annoy me, but if it's fulfilling and logical i wont mind the anime ending, sometimes a lousy end can mess up a good anime series, and as for character deaths, i dont mind them either unless they are predictable deaths thrown in to add drama, example: i really didn't like how they killed off that priest in trigun, you could smell them setting up his death two episodes before it happened...

As eyesotope has stated, the kind of ending will affect the kind of emotions going through one's head when it ends.

As a comparison...

I've recently finished School Rumble Ni Gakki, and boy was I disappointed. It didn't resolve anything, and only a few changes in terms of character development were there. I wasn't really satisfied to see no resolution to the Onigiri faction or the Oudou faction...But while the episode only left me to rue why I had loved the random madness and hits-and-misses of SR, I felt an anticipation, hoping that a continuation would arrive and correct what can be seen as faults in Ni Gakki.

For animes like Full Metal Panic TSR, Shakugan no Shana and Zero no Tsukaima, I felt that I wanted more, and that the animes could have went on even when they end on a very good note. I guess It must have been the influence from the fact that I follow the novels and manga.

Others, like Ichigo 100% or Gundam Seed Destiny made me felt thankful that it was over, and half hoping that any continuation would be void.

if the anime is good and it has a good ending i kinda feel sad that its over especially on shows like honey and clover

if the anime was good but had a crappy ending of stopped before story ends (hajime no ippo and berserk) i get a little pissed and hope that someone will pick it up for a next season.

crap animes i never wanna watch it again so i dont really care if it ends and sometimes i want it to end early lol

I always feel different about which animes im watching. For instance I was pissed about Love Hina, it just died. There wasnt even an ending. That pissed me off, but I have to say one of the greatest endings ive ever seen was for Elfen Lied. It was perfect, I wanted to know what happened to them and their lives, and yet I was satisified as well. But for the shows that just drag on and on im very happy to be finished. Often times they will get put on the bottom of my "to watch later" list.
