the anime is literally breathing right down the manga's throat right now, I wonder what they'll do next? use fillers or just take a long break?

I dont see how they are gonna have a filler when they ae in the middle of the story, with the characs stuck within Hueco Mondo .

btw I'm really annoyed about how the anime is so tame and dumbed down compared to the much bloodier manga version, blood color is black now in the anime Confused

, in the manga limbs fly, people get impaled and skewered very graphically, the anime used to be like this before but now..

Yeah, I find it kinda weird too. In the early episodes(esp the Soul Society arc), it was very bloody. (eg Byakuya vs Renji) Now, theres just too little blood. Not that Im a sadist or anything, but now its just not realistic. You cant really get the plight of the characters, when they just get a bit of bruises and blood. ( eg when Yami and Ullquirra initially turned up and pounded Ichigo, all you see is Ichigo getting bruised and spat a bit of blood. Cant really feel the magnitude of the damage )

Yeah, this "toning down of blood spills" sort of degrades the skills of the characters. In the early episodes, they took heavy damages and bled like crazy, yet still able to stand strong. Now....hmm....bruises and all, and they are practically struggling... Crying or Very sad

The only point of time where the black blood is appropriate is during Ichigo's Vizard training, whereby the Hollow-Ichigo is engulfed by the black cloak, and the parts with the sword turning back to black from Ichigo's wound.
That was certainly highly suitable to use the black blood.

I've been noticing it as well but it didnt really annoy me until this weeks episode, Orihime's face was much bloodier and bruised in the manga (i actually winced when i saw it) so it was even more touching when she healed the two who where beating on her

This show has been kiddified I think. The first 50 episodes were so good, and now they do this? They should really just take this show off the air and stop ruining the memory I have of what Bleach used to be. I just can't take this show seriously when they have 10min of "comedic relief" with that stupid purple and white hollow. I feel like I'm watching a kids show now.

They came under fire for the gore because of the time slot it's in, so instead of moving it to a later time slot and losing advertising revenue, they decided to censor it. I heard that the DVD though will remain true to the manga so you can see it the way it should be.
