anyone who kills for a living must be very good. So why not let the government hire some assasins. Could stop war, mabybe even kill Bush _________________ I gotta change this avatar!!! Eh... too lazy
Even if he was removed from office, Cheney would keep running things the way they are now. Especially with Rumsfeld to back him. So, I doubt that your "solution" would end the current war in Iraq.

Why kill Bush? Like nobodyspecial said...that wouldnt solve much.....plus a war on Iraq was inevitable....the west was always gonna end up going to war with'em...and if not with them...then another.....wars are always started for many different reasons...wether thy be justifeid or not......agression is only normal....its human nature.....
anyways....back on topic....Assassins will always be needed....wether used for a reason that qualifies as right or wrong is irrelevant.....its a job and they will always be needed.....
hmm, assassins are generally viewed as bad, but they may be necessary to this world. Think, if the Czech people had managed to hire an assassin who successfully managed to kill hitler before he took all of Czechoslovakia(did I spell that right?), how different would this world be?
not to get off subject but if hitler was killed it might have been harder to win the war. Hitler was a little off kilter and because of this he made many strategic mistakes such as firing some of his best generals, and promoting some ones that were not as capable.
Also when you kill someone you don't necessarily head off a war, sometimes it can make things worse. I mean what if you kill some figurehead, that everyone but the US loves, you just created a matyr and they are going to want revenge. Peace is something that can not be created with by yourself, there has to be more than one party involved. If you want peace you should send better diplomats and negotiators, and not so many soldiers.
I don't think that assasins are bad I mean aren't the evil ones the government that hires them. I mean the assasins are just doing their job, they really dont' have any say in who they kill.
Regarding if Assassins are bad. That would really depend on whose eyes you're looking through. Assassins have always existed and will always exist. Though I doubt the government hires assassins as much as have their "agency" do the deed. A hired gun is still a hired gun. Their loyalty probably doesn't mean much. Espedcially when it's their future on the line.
Point in case, though no one may believe this. The owner of the co that I work inherited the company from his father. With the company, also came a partner. Classic case of greed. The partner tried to hire a gun to remove the current owner. Now, the current owner had the partner under surveillance. When he realized what was going on, he went the authorities. Which was turned over the FBI. They even had agents pretending they were employees.
The FBI intercepted the hired gun and gave him a option. Turn against the partner or go down with him. He turned against the partner, set up a fake hit. The partner is currently in jail. All this happened before I started at this company.
While this was a private company, a hired gun that works for the government would have plenty of incriminating evidence against that goverment. Would you really trust that person, especially when public opinion and public faith is a big factor in your career and future?
As oppose to someone who believes or is loyal to the government and is willing to go to bat for his/her leader/government.
