I really liked the manga for Bobobo-bobo-bobo (I read it in japanese), but I think the anime was pretty stupid. I know Bobobo is supposed to be random and have stupid things but the anime just didn't go anywhere. Zatch Bell was pretty stupid too, they focused too much on friendship and such.

Stupidest anime I've ever watched would probably have been Green Green. It was full of nothing but gratuitous sex jokes. I honestly wonder how the thing was not just considered a hentai series. The OAV had frickin porn in it!

I'd say Beyblade wins the 'dumbest anime ever' title for all time.

But man, I want to comment on some of the choices other people made:

1. FLCL : I think this might be my favorite anime ever. It's hard to say why some people don't like it, but my guess is that FLCL never stops to explain anything, and people are often turned off my all the confusion. It all makes sense (somewhat) , but I can definately see people not enjoying it. I've thusfar got a 100% success rate of showing the show to other people, but I'm generally explaining stuff beforehand so the crazy bits make sense.

2. Zatch Bell : Are you all crazy? The station YTV here shows a bunch of anime on Fridays, and Zatch Bell is the best by far. It's hilarious! Way better then all the other stuff they show. Then again, I hate most of the other stuff they show...
