pls have a good read on these arcticle! recently there one local newspaper labelled animes as sex, i am sure malaysians here is aware of the front news recently published by Kosmo!

yeah, someone who hasn't really heard of anime aren't so much as smart. I think anime is growing everywhere but I think this article is right because I've been watching it for sometime now and I can't stop. I've been reading mangas and watching -coughs- hentai -coughs- as well lol. Uh, but I wouldn't call Anime bad because there are some stuff such as Hentai, which aren't shown in many places except on DVD and that depends on the age factor as well. I live in America so I don't know much about anime outside of the country, except in Japan and around there maybe, but to just say all anime is sex-based is just nonsense.

In France there's just no editor for hentaï or even most of echi manga and anime, it's too much trouble to deal with laws probably. As a consequence, there's also no polemic on this topic !

That's outrageous, and dangerous. if I lived in the area that writer did, I'd sue him for libel. If I couldn't do that, he'd be in a ditch somewhere.

I don't know if its true or not but recently in some other threads (in another forum) there was some bad talk about Malaysia and I was wandering if this had something to do with that. I haven't really seen anything like it though, but doesn't really matter.

Looks like they really need to do their homework before they wrote that. Their generalised term of "Anime" can be bad. I wonder how that news will affect the fans out there. I know that most of them are outraged, but I wonder how the government will react.

Hahahaha~~ I can't believe this... some fools not only trying to make himself looks like an asshole, Mohd Faizal Zakaria should take some serious consideration about doing a further research and get a better understanding before writing such outrageous statement.

Well, If I would have known earlier and If I could... I would have knock at his house door and give him a 24 hours ANIME lesson ^^ I don't meant to mock the government or law that has been implemented, but seriously... I doubt anime would ever disappear from the faces of Malaysia, furthermore... as for H anime, no matter how hard the government or any organisation try to overcome it... the NET is always available to everyone and H anime are rather easily downloadable...

Mohd Faizal Zakaria, you're wasting your time... besides... you need to watch some anime to spice up his life... Jeez... arguing over this topic makes me sound stupid... simply because this issue is stupid to begin with... even my 6 year old nephew know's how to differentiate an ANIME with a H Anime. Reporter these days... I believe he must have done a lsat minute work and run out of time to submit his work so he just end up "Shooting all Bullets hoping to get the target Hit"

Human Nature: Jumping to conclusions without knowing the full facts and also judging something by its cover without further in-depth analysis.

The least that should be done is to contact these people and explain that anime isn't all about sex, if that doesn't work then get the actual industry to "enligten" them.

man if i get my hands on that guy i will be on the paper the next day. i can just see the headlines now "teen murders over anime dispute" hahahaha .... that guy know next to nothing about anime and he dares to write an article about it? how can he do such a thing? and the paper published it b4 they checked it out. man such irresponsible actions.

what worries me is not the law they are gonna enforce casue i am sure no such thing will happen but what the artcle will do to the anime reputation. poeple who haven't seen an anime b4 would now turn away from it and parents would ban their children from it...... let's hope it doesn't deal much damage.

yeah i've read that article some time ago and i couldnt help but laughing... i think the author just doesnt have the idea what anime is...personally i believe random accusation like that shows their lack of knowledge...draw a conclusion like that..but anyways there are some people who are against this article and they defended the anime well enough i think...some articles about what anime truly is were published in 'berita harian' some weeks ago..there were from the people who disagreed with those who said 'anime is all about sex' Smile

well in my school these types of generalizations occur all the time. My brother hates anime and thinks that its porn and obviously i disagree. In my school there are two major cliques those who like anime and those who dont and we kinda dont talk. Honestly ignore idiots thats what i learned.
