Definately Jap audio with Eng subs....Y?? Coz it is japanese anime and the jap seiyuus make efforts to put life into their characters while the english dubbers just sux(no offence)...some dun even synchronise with the mouth, can be heard from their voices there's no enthusiasm in it...sad. For english sub, is for me to understand, though i learn japanese language but still not proficient in the casual one, so the eng subs are handy here.

English voice acteurs r a disease!

they keep spreading out into more anime

for the love of god Razz

stop destroying perfectly good anime with your english voices!!!!

just the sound of it makes me wanna hurt some1

it took me 2 weeks to recover from when i tested one.

cough cough *back to anime* xD

Omigawd I R a freek! (category 3 -.-; )
Ehm...
As above would imply, I almost exclusively watch JP/Sub. I think the experience is on a whole different level compared to dubs. As I speak japanese so-so, I get alot more from the original audio than just "it sounds better", as the japanese language has so many more ways of expressing feelings, and a persons character through daily speach (I'm sure all/most of my fellow otakus from category 3 agree).

There is also one very important factor, and that is - as I've seen a few others point out as well - the general quality of the voice acting. In Japan voice acting is a "cool" profession, it's not something you do because you failed at Broadway, which I think has alot to do with it.

I do, however, agree that there are a few rare exeptions. One that comes to mind is Martian Successor Nadesico, which I've seen both in JP and Eng, and I must say that I like the one in english alot better (Daigoji Gai's english voice will make you wet yourself just listening to it).

Doh....for those who don't know; above is a textbook example of what happens when you have too much to say about a certain example: a syndrome known as "walloftext" T_T

I usually watch subbed and I agree that there are many bad dubs out there but as time goes on so does the quality of dubs. Ghost in the Shell dubs are absolutely amazing and with the last movie, I actually waited and rented the dubbed version since I was so used to the english voices and with a plot like GitS reading and following the action is very difficult.

I am also currently watching Ergo Proxy, Last Exile and Texnolyze dubbed and I have no beef with any of them. All nicely done. I had previously seen Ergo Proxy subbed when it first came out but I do not find mysef enjoying it anye less with the English voice actors. It's still as entertaining as before.

On the flip side, I've seen more bad dubs than I can recount but with the dubbing industry stepping up to the plate, the battle isn't as one sided as it used to be a few years ago. Hopefully they will conitnue to improve.

I like subs, but yeah like alot of other fans I used to only like dubs, but I dunno, I've really enjoyed watching anime in it's original format. But then again, if it's been localized, like watching mononoke, or something it's awesome.
