I like the Japanese voices with subtitles more. The English voice actors all too often ruin the anime with poor quality. Plus it's fun to learn Japanese phrases from listeing to the anime. It's enterntaining AND educational! _________________ I know you're better than me; don't rub it in. I feel inferior enough as it is. |

| All depends on the anime.. and if anything is lost in transation. What I usually do is watch it in english first, then watch it in Japanese with subtitles. Somethings just sound better, somethings don't. But generally.. if it was a forced choice, i would go subtitles. |

Although I do perfer Japanese subs better than English dubs, the dubs are under rated. Most people critize the dub voices saying " Oh they suck, they can't say it right" or something like that.
Let's see them do a better job. |

like the 2nd post already said.. its different to everyone.. some prefer english, while others prefer japs..
but i prefer japs.. as the dubbing is more original.. and the feeling is there... have u ever hear the chinese dubs in "slam dunk"? *i know its old.. hehe*
i think the company have some budgetting problem.. the same person can voice for 3-4 characters.. and it really sux..
compared to japs.. at the most, each voice actor only plays for 1 main.. and mayb 1 or 2 back ground characters.. which is gooDDDDDD...
and at the same time.. get to learn abit of japs here and there. |

I personally perfer Japanese with English subtitles. I have no problems reading and paying attention at the same time. This might be because I can read quite rapidly. Most of the time the Japanese voices are much better than their English counterparts. Also the timing is better in Japanese and so is the cadance of speach. _________________ <("<) <( " )> (>")>

I prefer watching subed anime because when the dub anime with english subtitles alot of times they really mess it up _________________ I HOLD NO RESPONSIBILTY FOR YOUR MISTAKES WHEN USING your regestry editor

I believe it depends on the quality of the dubbing. I thoroughly enjoyed Cowboy Bebop, and Ghost in the Shell (Stand Alone Complex and 2nd Gig). What they've done to Naruto and Full Metal Alchemist - well... someone needs to answer for that. *shudders*
I often find the subbing more to my preference, because in my opinion the japanese voice actors are better with characterization. In the case of a complex storyline, I can keep up because I'm a speed reader. My hubby is dyslexic though, and subtitles are the bane of his existence. There's place for both, if they're well done. |

Hi. For me I would like them to stick to the original contents and just and a subtitle that I can read and understand. I mean what they have done to Naruto and how they changed his "my way of the ninja" to "yeah" was just to much of a shock and of course there was a lot of laughter. _________________ Sweet, sweet, sweet, and more sweets!!!
