That aside from those scenes where they talk in English and usually the hero/heroin screw and try to talk English in a funny way. In dup version they talk rabish instead.

When I was younger, I would hate subtitles anime.
I would prefer english dub that time.
But over the years more and more anime would come out in subtitles, and by then I got used to reading it.
When I try to go back to anime that have been dub it just doesn't sound right for some reason.
I then watch another series that both have japanese/ english subtitles and dubs.
Then I felt that each anime that has been dub kill the essence of its originality in many ways.
Even though I don't understand Japanese but when I read the subtitles it seem like the expression of each charater are way more realistic then when they are dub in english.
Therefore, I prefer to watch my animation with subtitle and origonal japanese language.
Once you go subtitles you never go back to dub. |
You just read my mind
I was like that when I first watch anime.. _________________ [IMG:512:113:1be3258bc5]http://media.animegalleries.net/albums/userpics/101289/signature.jpg[/img:1be3258bc5] |

| Strangely enough, the dubbed ver for Rurounin Kenshin was pretty good...maybe its coz Kenshin sounded more manly in the dubbed ver XD |

I kinda prefer Japanese with subs over Dubs because sometimes the voice acting makes the anime sound weird to me and distracts me from fully understanding what happens in the anime. But Dubs aren't that bad since i don't have to read tiny texts on the bottom of the screen |

Definitely subs without question.
I must admit though, there have been some truly notable english dubs out there (I enjoyed Bebop and of course the GiTS SAC series). _________________ Click Here For My Anime List

I've found that the anime that I have watched before I started watching subs sound normal and the subs sound weird because I'm use to the English voices, even though the subs are actually better.
On a totally unrelated note if I may ask, what anime is that in your avatar Terentius? |

This is completely personal opinion but I would say Japanese audio with English subtitles.
In my opinion the English dub seemed to lose the quality that the Japanese director was aiming for in the original.
This is just me but can everyone not use "jap"? It was created during World War II, basically in order to offend and put down the Japanese. _________________ I'm no good with computer (mostly) so I will be no help in most things....

| Definately japanese with english subs. Japanese voices sound so kawaii and english dubs sound awkward for me |

| You prefer Nip? That was the other alternate term they used. Short for Nipponese. |

| Lately there have been a lot of very good dubs, and in those cases I prefer the dub. If its a poor dub (IE. Negima) I will watch the sub. |
