Yep, any game can be burned quite easily.. Some of the new ones uses an annoying new security thing, so they are quite difficult to bypass, but even Half-Life 2, which's security thing was brand new and should be impossible to penetrate have been ripped.

With a simple dvd or just cd burner you can burn almost any game out there.. I use Nero burning rom, and this works wonderfully. You just create an image of the disk and burns it down on an empty disk.

The simple part is the DVD burner, the hard part is getting the software for it.

You can find most of the software on the web, already ripped and ready to use (of course I don't use ripped software..)

I'm pretty sure you can find some of the best ripping/burning programs on thepiratebay.org (of course I don't use this site..)

Note: Getting the games off the internet is illegal. But, I really can't harass you for doing so, since I have done so myself. Twisted Evil If you were looking to burn game cd's onto/off your computer, I suggest Alcohol 120%.

Who said something about getting games off the internet? Didn't he want to burn from dvd/cd to another dvd/cd?

And alcohol 120% is quite nice, though I have found better programs, but can't remember their names (of course didn't use them for anything illegal..)

The burning process itself is simple. You can use pretty much any software. I use Nero, but occassionally I use alchol 120% as well.

The difficult part is to modify your hardware so that you can play the burned games. This often requires physical modifications and might shorten the life of your console.

Oh.. So you tell me all I've written so far is just useless crap? I will just walk slowly away from this thread and leave it to people with knowledge in consoles..

That's not true, a lot what you wrote is just the same process for console games.
Just use Nero to burn the image on a DVD and you can play it on a modded PS2 or XBOX.

Well burning is illeagal...It really shouldn't be done in the first place. But when one thinks about it, aren't all games burned onto a CD? Not like I'm trying to justify it in any way, but to make a CD doesn't the company have to "burn" the game onto a blank CD? Anyways just buy the CD and lets support the economy! Very Happy

I haven't gotten around to looking for a system or program to burning PS2 games, but I remember it being a hell of a pain when I used to burn PSone games (yes I used to and you know what? I even have a burned copy of that Mortal Combat game where you play as Jax as a comando, you can all laugh at me now). I remember that I had the program to burn games but I didn't have the chip in my PSone that allows you to play burned games. It took me forever to get the chip. I can;t imagine what hell it is to burn games for the PS2, or maybe it has gotten much easier.

Loads of people in Asia, specially in China sells tons of pirated CDs. Its helping the economy, right? Even though poverty is still up in the rise.
