You got it all wrong. This is a rather old look on A-S. It was out a long while ago under Themes in your personal control panel. Now that the function is removed, this theme is set to default. The two themes that were choosable were Sep 04 and AS, which one was the old one, and one was this one.

I saw a themes thing yesterday which allowed me to switch back to the old style (which i did). But now its gone, or at least i cant find it.
i like blue, but not these blues. i liked to older layout for being more open and simple, visually. If i visit a site frequently, i prefer it to have lighter background colours. On the positive side, this layout is easier to navigate. At the end of the day, layout doesnt matter as much as content and people. |

We were testing the theme back then, it wasn't officially released. We had moved it in to test and remove it when we were done testing but eventually got pretty lazy and kept it there. As a result quite a few of you had the new theme during the testing phase. |

| I love the new look! I almost thought i was at the wrong page when i first clicked on my favorites. At first I was also confused at there not being a navagational sidebar, but the new buttons are organized making the site look simple and sweet. The blue color is also easy on the eyes (especially for someone like me who stares at my compy all day) |

Oh, but it looks pretty much the same except a few additions. My memory might be a little vague, but the banner is still the same and the menu... Not sure about the search option, and the boarder. |

yea see i was already aware of this new style months bak in advance like 1ce said~!
anyways...i like this new look....but it actually lacks wat the old style had....there seems to be no "top anime source users anymore"...and i remember that there was something wrong in the review section.
comparing the old style and new style(which looks the same bak when i "discovered" it and now) awhile bak.....the top anime reviews were diff. from each other. i dunno if it's the same case now...but i found this style to be unrealiable. so i found it kind of dissapointing today when i couldn't go back into THEMES to select the old version of a-S~! _________________

The thing is kay, when you were accessing the review module, it was under testing. Back then we used a 3 months old copy of the reviews to test our stuff. When we updated the theme, I important the data at the very minutes so we would have lost nothing in the process.
When we switched everyone to the new theme, only 0,8 % of user had found the new theme. Most of these 0,8 % were new member whom by entering their account found the theme button and tried it. In reality, like Kaiser told, it was there for testing prupose.
Just like the new anime review module. It was there for testing (beleive me, there was so much work in this piece of the website, tons of bugs). Some user crawled their way in and tried sending reviews. It was a real hassle.
Now things are getting in place and the bug list is shorter and shorter. The ASART team is going strong with their new tools and overall, I'm more then satisfied with the results we've had so far. You are right about the Top User link. I think it was removed because fairly useless...
If you want to see them, here's the link :
http://www.anime-source.com/banzai/modules.php?name=Top_Users
Again, feedback and input is always welcome. |

lol sorry if i sounded like a critic....i was just trying to point out the differences between the new style and the old.
oh and thanx for the link though...i was just pointing out wat was taken away as well. oh and i've noticed that some reviews aren't available. for ex: the GW review....EW version is available. i can still view the GW review however, but that's only cuz i gave it a review awhile bak so i can access it on my account page. _________________

I can get from the manga menu to the forum in one click,
that is a plus _________________ If violence isn't the answer, you didn't use enough.

What is GW EW ? Gundam Wing Endless Waltz ? Or something else ?? If you can still access it from your review, it means it still exists. Maybe you are searching in the wrong place. |

yea it stands for gundam wing endless waltz> but that's the movie....u guys really don't have the regular Gundam Wing t.v. series available to everyone.
i know it still exists......but u know when u go to the review section and and press the 1st letter of the series u are looking for....well the orginal GW series isn't under "G" anymore.l.ol. i think kinks are still being worked out....some links to series' songs are also missing~! but i like how u can listen to a serie's songs with a new accessable window. _________________
