This is about the game Ragnarok Online.
As a part of my graduation project for my networking/server class in college, I chose to work on making a server for a game. I chose ragnarok. I am required to establish a pretty big community of people.

In any case, if anyone wishes to join, please register and such at http://genesis-ro.com
We are a 24 hour run server with a good support crew. The server is exactly the same as the official one. Thanks for hearing me out.

If anyone wishes to help me out and join a great server, by all means join. I guarentee you will have fun.

what is the player cap ? for how long will this server be online ? 1 year ? 2 years ? 5 years ?

i got some more questions but i hold them on for later time

Ragnarok is an awesome game, but lately I haven't been able to play it much, been too busy with life lately. But anyways, this thread belongs in the videogames section.

Ragnarok is fun. I think i played the RO on9 for about 3 Months then i stoped. i can't stand the fee. But i bought the offline one. i still enjoy the game.

Sorry I havent replied in a while.
To Madox's question, my brother will run this server after me until he goes to college, so it will be up for a good 3 years or so.
Also, to those who think the server is illegal.
Its not anymore. Gravity recently filed a lawsuit against eAthena and lost, so all private servers are fully legal.
If you can, please join.

Just go to the site for now.
The sclientinfo is built into the installer, so its better just to run the installer.
It comes withh all the updated pallettes and sprites and such.

if the server is split up over different comps (i.e - 1 handles outdoors, 1 handles towns, 1 handles dungeons), a college connection for each comp should be fine for 300+ users at the same time.
