New about the new Ds lite

This will work with the older DS too and it will cost around 33USD Smile

Nintendo showed two more colors for the DS Lite: Ice Blue and Enamel Navy. The release for Japan will be on March 2nd.

theone06 - Wow, looks like Nintendo is trying to match the PSP again.

*Update 2/28/06*
Correction, I guess only the Crystal White will be released on March 2nd, the other two colors will be pushed back to March 11.

As most of you know already, DS lite was sold out on first day of launch and caused huge price hike.
Just how high does the price hike go?
Initial price around 14,000 yen ($120US), the photo here shows a ridiculous 41,790 yen (about $360US) price tag.

It should come as no surprise how popular the DS Lite is considering the immense popularity of handhelds in Japan and the original DS specifically. The original DS was released quite a while ago, yet there were still shortages for it in Japan, in contrast to how it sold in America, which was nothing close to spectacular. You also have to keep in mind that the DS in Japan has a much wider variety of games, most of which will probably never reach American shores :T.

That sucks I already have a ds. I like the new even though it has a platicy look. It is lighter which is nice and better colors.
