| My favorite cooking manga has to be Yakitate Japan due to its outrageous comedy, it's factual backing, and great storyline. As for the action, my vote is divided between Naruto (too mainstream), Bleach (also mainstream), and Gantz' due to it's unpredictable story. |

| Have you tried Cooking Master Boy? I think that has a bit of action and lots of cooking, not just bread. |

Cooking manga would definetly Yakitake Japan its funny and just retarded because of his so called "sun hands" i mean wtf??
but its ok...
best action would definetly be FMA (Full Metal Alchemist)
its gory, has a good plot, and is awesome!!!
funny as hell 2 |

| SinceI only know of one cooking manga, action is probably better. I really like Yakitate though. |

Of course, Yakitate Japan. I don't think are many other mangas that are based off of cooking topics. But Tenchi Muyo also has several cooking events featuring Sasami. Does that count? _________________ I know you're better than me; don't rub it in. I feel inferior enough as it is. |

I've only ever watched/read one cooking-related anime/manga: Yakitate! Japan.
I've heard of others, but they all seemed really idiotic. I'm not saying all of them are, just the other ones that I've come across.
I love how you can never trust what you read in Yakitate, though. Some things are entirely factual (blood types, cooking procedures) and other things are totally off-base (the price of certain ingredients, the names of some ingredients).
I also love that there're a few chapters/episodes that are about making yakisoba, though they never go into an explanation of how to make it yourself. =/ |
