Who is the strongest shinobi in naruto?

I'd say Naruto is the strongest. Not for the mere fact that he's the container of a mosterous demon life force, or his resangen(complete with elemental contribute). But because he can stand up to anyone despite the power, intelligence difference. He takes life full at hand and believes in himself and friends that have helped influence him to become a better person. He's everything a shinobi should be... Human.(not just some tool)

At present, I thing its Orochimaru, or he would be if he were at full strength. He's a jerk, I don't like him, but he beat the Hokage and only got his arms ripped off.

Oh dont be so hasty there, i'll think that Sakura will be the strongest out of the all. After learning how to do medical jutsu and super-strength, she'll probably be of use in the show.

Were talking about CURRENTLY strongest not FUTURE strongest, something that may or may not happen, My vote would go to the Yondaime, who took down the Kyuubi(nine-tails) even though he didn't kill it who else can claim the same thing? if you say naruto because he has the nine-tails, then you have to admit the yondaime is stronger because, not only did he take down the Kyuubi AT FULL STRENGHT, but because he taught kakashi's team and even kakashi is stronger than naruto (currently, when not in Kyuubi form, even then, who knows). Naruto can't harnest the Kyuubi's full strenght, yet, so he isn't as strong as the real thing.... So... yougotta admit the Yondaime WAS the strongest, Itachi MAY be the Strongest and Naruto MIGHT be the strongest. If you don't agree then that's fine by me, this was just my two cents, meh.

actually naruto is probably stronger than yondaime (not smarter) he has a larger chakra capactity (which lets him do stronger ninjitsus) and he is also working on completing what the yondaime couldn't, the resengan.

The strongest shinobi to me is Uchiha Itachi... He just played the Konoha Jounins and Kakashi himself even though he could kill them easily. I really liked that part..

Naruto is kinda stupid and he only has two to three moves that he uses when he fights.

my friends told me that in a few years passby naruto, lee, and hinata becomes stronger. with all the other shinobe including Lee. I'm interested on hinta wearing some mask to cover her whole face like an assasin.

even without his kyuubi he can still kick but..

1.Kakashi
2.Itachi
3.Naruto
4.Garra
5.Yondaime
6.Konoha White Fang (kakashis Dad)

I would say Yondaime and kakashi's dad at 3rd n 4th strongest shinobi because there has not been any abilities shown that would make me say they are the strongest besides they were highly talked about in the past. Even in manga kakashi has still been on of the most respected konoha Ninja that to be said he is very strong indeed but further more naruto becomes stronger later on in manga. Naruto and Garra will become the strongest due to there kyuubi that is what i believe
