Who is the strongest shinobi in naruto?

Itachi definetly. He's really strong, has lots of really cool jutsus, and has a magekyo sharingan.

i think there is a lot of strong shinobi in naruto and there in no one strongest coz everyone have different style and perspective and different way of countering strong anemies but as in the latest chapters it seems that naruto have becomes a lot more stronger that even orochimaru can't fight him and have to run for his life so in the end maybe it's naruto in kyubi form and hopefully naruto can control the power it unleash.

Of course it has to be Yondaime and mean he was suppose to be a legend. but Itachi I have to say is a close second

It is definitely Neji with is Byakugan and his techniques like Hakkesho Kaiten, Hakke Rokujuyon Sho and Hakke Hyaku Nijuha Sho.

Yondaime prolly was the best shinobi but the strongest now would prolly be jiryaha or itachi, i'm not inculding orochimaru since he already said itachi is stronger than he is. Naruto will be the strongest in the end since i believe he will expell the kyuubi and get rid of him for good using some jutsu that hasn't been shown or thought of yet

orochimaru, the main villain, has shown us his amazing but horrifying skill as a shinobi...the fact that he can switch bodies also tend to make ppl believe his invincible. Add into the facts that he has so many jutsus to comprehend made me think hes one of the strongest shinobi in naruto..even the akatsuki think of him as pesky and a threat. Itachi is close second...

Interesting topic but an endless one (guess we kind of all agree to that)
Seeing naruto's potential and what i read in the ch299, i would say when this guy fully understand his powers he'll be the legend after all the anime's called naruto right Laughing

Anyway for me right now i would still go for ichimaru since he is a monster and he has been developping many jutsu we haven't seen yet, this guys hasn't showed us every trick he's got !!

I'd say Itachi because he has the sharigan eyes as well as many secret clan moves that only he knows because, well, his clan is dead...plus, he looks cool =P

I thought i read or heard somewhere that Itachi isnt even the strongest member of Atkatsuki, dont remember where or when I got this info but I thought I heard about it somewhere. Could be wrong.

I agree that all the shinobi seem to have strengths and weaknesses like Orochimaru has lots of techniques but if he needs to change bodies hes weak.

If naruto can somehow harness the power of the kyuubi he will be the strongest alive. Strongest shinobi of all time goes to Yondaime.

i'd say sasuke in chapter 300 it looked as though he was freakin strong and that Orichimaru said that Naruto was far behind sasuke so i guess sasuke is the strongest

I got my money on the crazy looking guy in Akatsuki who has spikes coming out of his collar. That guy looks like someone you do NOT want to mess with.
