Who is the strongest shinobi in naruto?

i'm rooting for itachi!!!!!!
but i think naruto may be the strongest especially if all 9 tails come out.
SASUKE majorly sucks!!!!!!!

Naruto I guess, no offends to those Sasuke or Kakashi fans out there

Well let me list down my reasons...

Firstly, his got GREAT will power...
Secondly, his got GREAT instructor...
Thirdly, his got GREAT potential power...
Fourthly, he can make friends easily and almost anyone

i think the three sannins cuz they are known as the LEGENDARY sannins
i suppose itachi is next but i read somewhere that he is always in sharigan mode and it takes energy out of him when he uses the ultimate sharigan tecnique

From what's been revealed so far, it seems like it would be Itachi. But is there someone else in Akatsuki who is stronger?

I would say Naruto, if he ever releases all 9-tails, but then again, he'd be a 9-tails and not necessarily a shinobi huh.

btw i really recommend Ubel Blatt, awesome manga (the theme is old but the story is good, also has ecchi content)

if you mean by pure power it's naruto, he can easily release the power of kyuubi wich has killed millions of shinobis and could only be stoped by the sacrifice of the strongest shinobi in the village of konoha, though they couldn't kill it so they had to seal it with a technique only 2 people knew, and they're dead so it can't be stopped. But it would also consume naruto

but if you mean by ordinary skill, then it would be Yondaime, and if you refer to the living ones it's Itachi

EDIT: all of you say that naruto pulls out the tails, wich is wrong, it happens against his will everytime he gets emotional, it's kyuubis attempt to consume naruto at the battle against sasuke the chakra moves naruto's body against his will when he has passed out, then kyuubi tries to kill sasuke but naruto realizes the situation and regains counsiosness (don't know how it's spelled) the attacks stops, for a while atleast.

Well, if this includes people who have died and are known I would have to stick with Yondaime since it seems like he was the greatest ninja because of his incredible speed. If you go for the living ninja it would have to be Orochimaru since he can evade death. Anyway I would have chosen Naruto but if he faces a opponent stronger/wiser then him when he doesn't use the kyuubi and uses it, then I think that Naruto would wind up killing himself before he kills his opponent.
