Based on strength alone probably Armstrong. But if you factor in everything else, its probably a matchup between Ed and his sensei. They exhibit an almost perfect balance between Alchemy and physical Prowess. Plus they Improvise and use their heads, rather than brute force or exceptional Alchemy.

Hohenhiem or Dante are both really strong, but you are not able to see Dante use her power very much.

ya from the anime i would said Hohenheim too coz he was the first who able to complete the phili stone n live for more then a century n he even save Dat.... but Ed will b a tanky man too coz he is a genius

I would say Mustang is the best. If you actually see him fight you can see that he thinks for every move and the best way to win. He can also use fire. Hehehehe
