Sharingan.I think it's an amazing technique ith hyptonism skills.....too powerful for the other ninjas.No chances for Neiji and the Hyuuga family.

| I think Byakugan is in my opinion the cooler of the two and most useful outside of combat for scouting and survailence, but I must tip my hat to Sharingan in combat effectiveness. |

I personally, after reading all these great opinions, am leaning toward the Sharingan Eye. One reason is that I like Kakashi and Sasuke. Plus, Neji's eye's are a little creepy. They're just these blank eyes with no expression.  |

Nice question!
I think NO,it can't,cause I think Byakugan is just to detect the chakra points or to have a x-rays vision.It's not a defense from hypnotism or similar.The only defensive technique that the Hyuuga family has is the Jyuuken fighting style,I suppose.

Why not? I think that if you think strategically you can. By using X-Ray, do not focus on the eyes but what is inside of the eyes. I can't see the Sharingan eye's dots so how are you going to hypnotisize me? It is more like. i can't see how your eyes look like but i still can see the chakra circulation in your body. |

It is pretty hard to say which one will win...
I think I will choose sharingan because there are no real weakness for sharingan, the only way to go against them is not to see the eye.

In order to use Mangekyu Sharingan I suppose Itachi has to move a great amount of chakra to his eyes and I think it might be stronger then the Byagukan ability.Well,I think also that with the "Byagukan-x rays vision" the Mangekyu Sharingan might be able to hypnotise its target.
But,I repeat,this is my supposition.

| I do prefer sharingan,byakungan are not bad too. They are so strong, it makes me quite difficult to choose. Basically, I think I will say if I could, I will have both. But if only one, I choose sharingan because I do not need blank eyes. Haha |

| I would go for Sharigan because the ability to copy your enemy's move in a instance(like Kakashi) and the hypnotise power thing to make your enemy vurnable or use the Sharigan for the Lazy man way |

and I like Sasuke. >_< even though he betrayed his village I still think he's cool~

Sharingan can detect clones and illusion right? ^^"" and they look cooler than byakugan (however you spell it)
i mean, byakugan is the veins popping out.. and that's.. uhm unnatural to me >_> it scares me =D and i like sharingan cuz the eyes look cool XD |

i would say the byakugan 'cause u can see 360 degrees and u can see through / zoom plus the hyuga clan's techniques close chakra points and after that the sharingan is useless.
