Well I would choose Byakugan, Well we only know the "mangekyou sharingan" because it is the ability of one of the main characthers.
They will explore the power of sharingan because kakashi is naruto's "teacher" and sasuke is naruto's "friend". And one of the enemies is itachi... (They all use sharingan)
We don't know if Byakugan have others powers...
If in the real world i could have one i would take the sharingan...you would be able to dodge bullets and see punches before they are thrown you would never lose a fight

lol. You might be able to dodge punches but i doubt that you could dodge bullets. I is the same as they say that your eyes can catch up with the speed but not your eyes. I don't think that a human body is capable to undergo such a speed.

i would go for sharingan because it doesn't mess up my look when i use it.. byakugan is cool and all but when i use it i look weird.. _________________

well actually the byakugan isnt really 360 view.remember that there is a blind spot somwhere behind the user.Its more like a 350 or 340. lol

Hi. I would like to go with the Sharingan I mean Byakugan is also cool but Sharingan can not only just copy moves and techniques but it can also allow you to see through the moves and techniques. Its like finding the weaknesses of your opponents. It can also at the highest level, the Mangekyu Sharingan can also control space and time. That means the almost absolute defense will be useless. The Mangekyu Sharingan is not exactly and close up combat type so the defense would be useless if the Sharingan user stands at a certain distance. Byakugan can also stop the flow of chakra but if the Byakugan user cannot touch the points and stop the flow than its a fail. The Sharingan user should also be able to see and predict the movements of the opponent. Byakugan at the highest level is not a big improvement of the lowest level. The only improvement is how far your sight can see and also the how the defense is stronger. But for the sharingan users, they have a big improvement in each level of the Sharingan. The Byakugan (白眼, literally "White Eye", Viz "Evil Eye") is a special pupil condition (Dōjutsu 瞳術, "pupil technique") that naturally occurs in members of the Hyūga clan (and thus only characters from the Hyūga house - such as Hinata, Neji, Hiashi, Hizashi (deceased), and Hanabi - possess it).
Although it seems that the abilities of the Byakugan are inferior to those of the Sharingan (believed to be its genetic relative) because it cannot copy techniques that it sees, or hypnotize human targets, in terms of insight the former surpasses the latter, as stated by Kakashi during the Chūnin exams.
A person with the Byakugan can have a 360 degree field of vision, except for a small blind spot behind the first thoracic vertebra (near the back of the neck), which is its only known weakness. Byakugan users can detect anything around them in a 50 meter radius although later on in the manga Hyuga Neji has managed to increase the radius to 800 meters (with the exception of the blindspot) making them close-range combat experts. When the Byakugan is activated, the user can see through most matter over extremely long distances, although this may depend on the individual user, and perceive the Chakra inner coil system, enabling usage of the Jūken (Gentle Fist) to attack said system. Its sight cannot be blocked (unlike the Sharingan, which can even be blocked with a piece of cloth), making it useful for searching, tracking and identifying targets. It has however been impeded slightly by certain powerful seals. If sufficiently developed, the Byakugan is able to see individual tenketsu, potentially allowing the user to shut off the opponent's chakra flow completely, such that the opponent cannot perform techniques that require chakra. Seasoned Byakugan users are even able to kill with a single blow without trouble. The Byakugan can also see through any kind of genjutsu. (In the anime, one genjutsu (or possibly a dōjutsu bloodline limit) seems to block the Byakugan's natural ability, as shown in episode 154: 白眼の天敵, Byakugan no tenteki, "The Byakugan's natural enemy". This has only appeared in the anime and not the manga, and thus it's generally not considered to be canon.)
The protection of this ability is very important to the Hyūga clan, leading to the development of an elaborate family hierarchy. The Hyūga clan is divided into two houses: the main house and the branch house. The branch house's main purpose is to protect the main house and to protect the secrets of the Byakugan. Branch house members' abilities and freedom are restricted through the means of a Juin ("Cursed Seal"). The cursed seal is placed on a branch house member's forehead. Through the means of a special technique that only main house members know, the seal can be activated. When the cursed seal is activated, the person's brain cells will be destroyed. Through the use of the cursed seal, the main house makes the branch house subordinate to its wishes. In addition, whenever a branch house member dies, the cursed seal will also seal the byakugan ability so that enemies will not be able to discover the secrets of the bloodline limit if they were to find and dissect the body.
There are several techniques developed specifically for Byakugan users, which complement and make use of the Byakugan's abilities - most notable among which are the defensive barrier technique Hakkeshō Kaiten (Eight Trigram Palms Heavenly Spin) and the high-speed precision attack Hakke Rokujūyon Shō (Eight Trigrams Sixty-Four Palms). The anime has also introduced two more jutsu in the same vein - Hakke Hyaku Nijūha Shō (Eight Trigrams One Hundred Twenty-Eight Palms), a variant of Hakke Rokujūyon Shō which Neji uses when driven to a tight corner and is twice as fast as the original; and Shugohakke Rokujūyon Shō (Protection of the Eight Trigrams Sixty-Four Palms), a development of Hinata's that uses fast-moving chakra beams for both offense and defense.

The Sharingan (写輪眼, literally "Copy Wheel Eye", English anime dub "Mirror Wheel Eye") is a special type of pupil that naturally occurs in some members of the Uchiha clan, which allegedly evolved from the Byakugan (See above) and grants the user a number of abilities. It is a dōjutsu (pupil technique). The Sharingan's first and most well known ability is to memorize any technique that it is a witness to. It can memorize ninjutsu (ninja techniques), genjutsu (illusionary techniques), and taijutsu (hand-to-hand techniques) with perfect accuracy and allow the user to use the techniques, as long as they have the necessary resources to do so. Second, it is capable of a unique brand of hypnosis that involves suggesting actions and thoughts to the opponent. Third, it can see through genjutsu, the level of which is possibly dependent on the user's skill. Fourth, it has the ability to predict (and copy) an opponent's movement as well as allowing sight of fast moving objects with great clarity.
The weakness of the Sharingan, in Kakashi's case, is that it drains chakra quickly. In order to copy a jutsu, one has to have the physical ability to perform the technique. For example, they have to have the needed amount of chakra, stamina, agility, and/or strength in order to perform said technique. In addition to physical skill, the Sharingan cannot copy any other bloodline abilities or summon a creature the user has not made a contract with because the user of the sharingan has to have the same blood of the other summoning user. In Itachi's and Sasuke's case, their chakra is not drained, due to the fact that they have the Kekkei genkai of the Uchiha clan.
The Sharingan does not automatically appear from birth in a user; instead, it will usually appear when the user is in a life threatening situation, where the power of the Sharingan will save the user. After this first appearance, the user can then call up the Sharingan any time he or she pleases. (Due to its unique nature, Kakashi's Sharingan seems to be "permanently on", and thus he covers it except during heated battles, to conserve chakra.) The power of the Sharingan is judged through the number of tomoe in the person's eye. It is not unheard of for a Sharingan user to have different amounts of tomoe in each eye. For example, Sasuke's Sharingan initially had two tomoe in one eye and one in the other. Eventually his Sharingan evolved to two tomoe in each eye, then three. An "adult" and fully matured Sharingan has three tomoe in each eye.
The worst possible match-up for a Sharingan user such as Sasuke is a Taijutsu specialist such as Rock Lee or for that matter, any opponent that outclasses the Sharingan user. While still being able to read high-level Taijutsu, Sharingan users may lack the strength, agility and stamina to react to or copy it. Also, the lack of chakra focusing or hand seals required for Taijutsu gives the Sharingan user much less time to react to their opponent's movements. In the case of facing a much stronger opponent, the Sharingan's ability to copy is nullified if the opponent uses techniques too strong for the Sharingan user to imitate. Other stategies included Zabuza fighting with his eyes closed and creating a fog against Kakashi. Gai's strategy is to fight with eyes open, only focusing on the opponent's feet; we have yet to see Gai's strategy against it. Most likely it does work as Lee managed to counterattack Sasuke; however, Itachi and Gai are extremely different compared to them.
Interestingly enough, it is possible to transplant Sharingan eyes from one person to another, as is the case with Kakashi and Obito. However, transplanted eyes do not work as well without an Uchiha body, causing much more strain on the user.
Characters who possess the Sharingan include Uchiha Sasuke, Uchiha Itachi, and Hatake Kakashi (implanted by Rin from Uchiha Obito's left eye, before he died.)

The Mangekyō Sharingan (万華鏡写輪眼, literally Kaleidoscope Copy Wheel Eye) is a heightened form of Sharingan which was once thought to only have been achievable by those of Uchiha blood, and even those who have the potential to obtain it must make a great sacrifice in order to obtain it -- they must kill their best friend. In the long history if the Uchiha clan, only a few have been able to obtain this legendary Dōjutsu (瞳術, "Pupil Technique"). In the present, there are only two known people who can use the Mangekyō Sharingan; Uchiha Itachi and, newly introduced, Hatake Kakashi, though he might have developed it another way. However, Itachi has said to his younger brother, Uchiha Sasuke, that if he were to open his eyes to the truth, the number of people who can handle the Mangekyō Sharingan, including Itachi, would be three, though this may not be Kakashi since Itachi may have not known of his ability to achieve the Mangekyō Sharingan at the time. This suggests that there is another Mangekyō Sharingan user somewhere, although Itachi uses the verb atsukau (扱う) which means "to handle" or "to deal with", which means it could also mean that there will be three people who can defeat the Mangekyō Sharingan. However it is possible that Itachi knew all along that Kakashi is capable of attaining Mangekyō Sharingan. This is because it appears to suggest in the manga that Itachi actually has respect for Kakashi. For example, when Itachi and Kisame came to Konoha after the fall of the third Hokage, Itachi used Tsukuyomi on Kakashi. As Kakashi himself admitted, Itachi could have easily killed Kakashi if he wanted to. Also, when Itachi found out that Kakashi knew of Akatsuki, he told Kisame that they will capture Kakashi and kill the rest, when killing Kakashi too would save the trouble. All these may suggest that, to Itachi, Kakashi is more valuable than the natural descendants of the Uchiha clan whom Itachi had wiped out.

The Mangekyō Sharingan is distinguished from a normal Sharingan through its appearance. Unlike the Sharingan, it seems to have a different appearance between users.
With the Mangekyō Sharingan, Itachi is able to use the two most powerful jutsu of the Uchiha clan. Tsukuyomi and Amaterasu. It has recently been implied in the manga that use of the Mangekyō Sharingan jutsu causes the deterioration of the eyes.
They both have many good things, but I would rather prefure the sharingan because you can evolve it into the Mangekyo sharinga, which is just like itachi, but you would have to inherit the sharingan and then you would ahve to kill your best friend to get the Mangekyo.
Well, after reading everybody's thoughts, I think that Sharingan is still the best. 1. It looks cooler. 2. If you have the strength, you can kill anyone easily (Itachi). 3. It's abilities are much better.
Well, thanks for the information on Byakugan but I still can't convince myself to like it.
Both of that bloodline is special and have their own advantages according situation.. i will choose both of them like kakashi that only have sharingan eye in his left eye.. i wonder if i have byakugan eye on the right and sharingan on the left, i definitely look like a freak but to have both of that power is surely cool...
