Whats better?

The question is too vague for only 2 choices of best game ever made, don't you think? I personally don't think Halo rank up that high either. It's a solid shooter, with plenty of actions, and easy enough for pickup and play..but Halo serie never bring anything new to the genre. Dual wielding is nice, but doesn't add that much to the game. Other than that, it's by no mean a revolution or nearly good enough to be best game ever.
But I'm more into RPGs though..my favorite would probably have to be the Star Ocean serie (all of them) and Suikoden 2 and 3. My favorite shooting is non other than CS and BF2. (Red faction was awesome, but it was so hard to find anyone to play with, so it never made my favorite list)

Wow...so suprised no one has mentioned 007: Golden Eye for the N64. Golden Eye was by far the best FPS out for the console and the makers understood the mechanics of how to make a good console FPS. Sorry, but Halo isn't as good as Golden Eye. Best game ever is The Legend Of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, hands down, no contest.

So ver surprised that Halo and Halo2 were the only choices apart from "other".....those games were both exactly the same!!!

Golden Eye for N64 was a great game.....especialy on multi-player....

pkmn were greta RPGs.....FF series of course...also good....SSBM deffenetly a great beat'em up......and Soul Calibur II...(havnt played III yet...but from what I hear....its meant to be 10 times better then II)....

I'm wondering..how is it that Halo series become so overrated? Is it just because X-box people feel like they need their own icon? (I think Mario and sonic is quite overrated too)
so far, it seems like PS is the only console without a real avatar..there are a lot of games and characters that are tied to the name, but none that really stand out..

I've got Xbox...my first game was Halo...it was a fawking good game...but not qualified to be the best game...nonono...I bought the second game...it was fun shooting aliens and stuff...but the story was just vague...Cortana is hawt...

Kotor is the best game in my opinion...I happen to like starwars...and lightsabers...and it was a brilliant RPG...I'd class Kotor2 as the best game...but it was just too damaged...

i can't say wich is the best game ever since there's still games to come, but the best rpg game right now i think is elder scrolls: oblivion or Vampires: bloodlines, best FPS is HL2, the story is just too great for words, but i want blizzard to release starcraft: ghost, that game will deffenently kick ass
