Onimusha: Down of Dreams is the latest Onimusha series by capcom...and truly, this game is great, even though the graphic is not as good as onimusha 3...

The main character of this game is Soku, the Oni of the Ashes. He is the adopted son of Tokugawa Hideyasu, and he is forced to fight against him in order to save the world from the Genma...He wield double sword as his weapon...

There are also 4 other partner character that can be controlled, each one with different specialty...
The first one is Yagyu Jubei, HER real name is Akane. She will join Soku journey in order to find and kill his betrayed uncle, Yagyu Munenori...She wield Katana, and her special ability is she can go through small holes or fragile pathway...
Second is Ohatsu, she is the daughter of Oichi, she will later joined Soku after being saved by Soku from the Genma Seed...She uses Firearm like Shotgun and Laser Weapon...
Then it is Roberto, a westerner who uses gauntlet to fight, he fight alongside Soku in order to kill his master, Luis.
The last one is Tenkai, a monk who have the previous Oni gauntlet...He's the one who want Soku to reawakened his Onimusha power...He uses mace as his weapon...

Player can started the game in 3 difficulties: Beginner, Easy and Normal, not that Beginnerhere means EXTREMELY easy game, the MP and OP will keep regenerate over time, no matter how much you use them...

Good thing in this game is that each characters have their own Oni Awakening, for Soki it's Onimusha of course, Jubei will have Demon Eye which makes everything slows down, Ohatsu have Demon Blood which act just like DRAGOON system in Freedom's Gundam Seed, Roberto have Exorcism Fist which looks like Cliff's Fist of Fury in Star Ocean 3, and Tenkai have Oni Gauntlet, which enables him to pierce everything is his way...

I've finished playing this game a few days ago, and surely it can satisfy Onimusha Fan...
Of dont be afraid if there's only Japanese version in your place because we can change the setting to english...

...but u mentioned that the graphic doesnt match up to onimusha3? that s a shame Sad

i think this games was better than other series of onimusha..
it also very easy to play and it have a lot of playable character(PC)..
for me the best PC is Roberto.

Im surprised they're making another Onimusha I saw it on the back of a magazine. Im glad Onimusha is still around all the games are good. The graphics dont matter I guess but this game sounds pretty good.

wow just beat the game. definately has one of the longest storyline out of the series. but its really good Smile

Hm...Fortinbras is quite annoying,it takes me half an hourto figure how to defeat him...

Firstly, you must know that he is invincible when he is in the air,so don't even bother to attack him...
You must wait untill the guide says about "absorbing something", then go below him and do so. After that,it will says "deflect the stars".
At this time, Fortinbras will launch a meteor towards you,so time well and press X at the right time to deftect it to him.
After that, see the floating balls? Now they can be damaged, so destroy all of them. Use Onimusha form if you can afford it. Note that the less hp Fortinbrass has, the more balls will appear,making it more difficult.
This will makes him descent and become vulnerable, sothis is your chance to attack him with all you got. Use Onimusha form to easily depleted his hp...
Just repeated the method and he will be defeated...

AHh onimusha , one of the last PS2 games i would buy before ps3 comes out.Onimusha fans should get it

Rating eh...I would give this game between 8.5 to 9...Overall this game is really great, though it has some flaw, like "exaggerate" gestures of the characters, and graphics....
