When you think about it, a remote control will probably feel most comfortable in your hand since you probably use one every single day. Add the fact that it has a USB (or similar) connection to attatch other random controllers into the mix (depending on the developers of the game), you have yourself one of the most diverse controllers in video games.
Funny how people (including me) judge stuff before even trying it out.
As for FPS, Revolution is having a Metroid FPS. End of story there.
I've mentioned this before, but they say that if they make Twilight Princess compatible with the Revolution controller, they also might have a peripheral for a sword. Good times!
Once again, props to Nintendo for going against the grain. The hype seems to be working in their favor as it has most of the gaming community (editors, magazine writers and such) going gaga over it. Sure the PS3 has Blu-Ray, and the 360 has...well, nothing too special really, but the Revolution is looking to live up to its namesake. I for one will be saving my money to buy a Revolution first.
PS. I also like how the controller looks like an old school nintendo controller when held sideways. I'm going to feel right at home when I play my downloaded versions of Zelda, Contra and Mega Man 2 on the Revolution. =P

Have they released any actual pictues of what the casing will look like?
I've heard alot of talk about it, but I've never seen the picture of it. That could be of course... Because they haven't released a picture of it yet. Currently, that's what I'm waiting to see.
As far as the controller goes, I'll say something when I actually use it. One of my friends made the claim that "It looks too small, I'll break it or lose it." - Yeah... If you lay it on the couch and sit on it like you do with all your normal controller. Wondering if there will be a station to set it down in. Either way, I think I'll be ok.
It's just about waiting patiently to get my hands on the system, the reason that I'm so interested in the casing is simply this... I don't think I'll be able to play Smash Brothers with the controller shown. Of course, I haven't seen the controls for the game either. _________________ Running from your problems only wastes time... They always catch up either way.

Just way till May E3. Nintendo announced that they'll be officially revealing everything about Revolution at 2006 E3. _________________ [IMG:258:200]http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v435/ypark/sigs/3fsn.png[/img]
There is a mock-up of what the casing will look like at http://revolution.ign.com. Too bad there aren't any screenshots, not even one. We may have to wait until E3, but if we are lucky Nintendo's president Iwata may give us more info at GDC.
