|

| I don't seem to understand this idea. Aren't all animes based off of mangas. In particular I've seen animangas for inuyasha and I just started thinking. If the anime is based on the original manga, and the animanga is based on the anime, isn't the animanga and manga the same. Anyone know what the differences are other than maybe pics from the anime?? |

What do you mean by animanga?
Do you mean like....what tokyopop are doing with the cinemanga?....Its just putting an anime or film ino manga format...thats all....its to make more money....and some ppl prefer the anime to manga....(there are often differences between both...even if from same series).... |

| I believe that there should be a few manga created based on anime but "animanga" (lolz) first time hearing it. But it should not bee too bad. I think that maybe AIR (tv) was launched in Anime first then they puplished few manga books about it. I found the books to buy in Amazon but i am still looking for scanlations to download. |

I thought Air was based off of a dating sim?
But yeah... Cinemanga are... dumb... if they are off an anime series. Off of a movie... maybe not so much, not sure.
Off of a cartoon series like spongebob, whoever thought of the idea should be killed repeatedly and burn in Hell slowly for an eon or two. |

To put it simple, Animanga is like the print-out version of anime. The pictures are all screenshot of the actual anime.
Examples are VIZ's My Neighbour Totoro, and Dark Horse's Hellsing animanga. |

I'm not sure either but i don't think so. I think that the Anime came out first. It is like Ai Ori Yaoishi or somethingl ike that. I can't remember the name but it was first launched in Anime then the date sim came out. |

You have to consider that normally Mangas are alot more controversial then the actual Anime. So an anime made from a manga is sometimes toned down and a magna made from an anime is normally exactly the same as the anime.
I don't like the idea, but I think that the manga turned into an anime is the best...cuz it's so much more crazy. |

Actually I found another so new term called "Animanga". Mai Hime in manga is surprisingly adapted from anime. It seems that Mai Hime came out in anime first and after a real short while, it was published in manga.
This information was obtained at http://www.animenewsnetwork.com
(but i sill liked Mai Hime in manga better) |

i've read a few of the so-called animangas
and i personally don't like them
...
because it's lacking in dynamics
we are all manga-readers here, so i'd assume you guys would know what i'm talking about when i say there's this dynamic/motion that emits from manga that evokes the imagination
(like.. with the use of lines, you can see it happening in your head)
and in anime, things are actually happening.. much like spoon-feeding the action into your brain
but in those animangas, they are screenshots (like CGY said) and there are screens that are missing
SO these aren't spoonfeeding
BUT
these screenshots don't have the same dynamic/feel to mangas
because they are hacked up motions and aren't meant to be viewed seperately
i probably am not explaining this properly... but
to sum it up
animanga isn't as "rich" as manga
(like.. it's "thin" as in it lack dynamic... and seem like a bunch of random pictures)
and it definitely worse than anime
(you know how anime lacks the feel in mangas.. like the drawings are simplied etc.. well.. animanga lacks even further as it lacks both the "feel" and the detail of mangas and the motion of anime) |

| I think there are a lot of animes that are based off of mangas and vise versa, of course. One Piece was first a one-shot, then manga, then anime. Bleach was first manga then anime. Ichigo 100% (my fav manga) is first manga then anime). What I'm trying to say is whether it's animanga or manganime, watch/read them!!! They're good no matter!! |
