sry about the name, I don't know what to call it..

I just want to know which is better, .mp4's or .avi's~

I know that we can now download either the AVI format (by opening the gvp file and get the url) or download straight the MP4 formats (for iPod or PSP) from Google Video.

Your question is, which is better? Sometimes i feel one better than the other, then at some other time i feel the direct opposite.

So i downloaded the video "Canon Rock" in both AVI and MP4 and compared their statistics.

AVI:
-Video in Divx
-slightly larger res than the mp4
-44.1KHz audio
-128kbps
-larger file size

Mp4
-video in avc1
-small res and frame rate (just slightly)
-48KHz audio
-1536kbps

I used VLC's "Stream and media info" for these stats.

With such a large number for bitrate (1536) for the mp4, and smaller file size, i decided to keep the mp4s for all future downloads.
