Yes, the PS3 should provide us with a better upgrade in the graphics department. However Nintendo never fails to surprise me with its innovations.
As such, their new controller, which allows for sword playing or other activites limited by a normal controller, should be one that best offers a new gaming experience. So in terms of fresh and new gaming experience, I believe the Nintendo Revolutions would be the best suited console.
As much as I like Sony and their innovative consoles, the Nintendo Revolution looks like it'll be just amazing. I don't really like the controller, but everything else for the system is just crazy. The estimated cost of the system is drastically lower than the estimated cost of the ps3 and the retail of the 360. Not to mention that the Revolution may be completely backwards compatible (I remember reading an article somewhere on gamespot about that but i'm too lazy to look it up). I've played the 360, and I'm extremely happy that I didn't buy it right when it came out. It isn't as amazing as a next gen console should have been.
Being that I am a Playstation fan I will have to stay with Sony and go with the PS3. Nintendo used to make systems I love, but I lost interest in them in recent years. Xbox 360 might actually have a chance inside my home due to what I've played on it so far.
Yeah Seefutbow, it seems like there will be a backwards compatible. That itself is already a bonus to the controller. Alot of people don't like the controller because of the fact that, it resembles a remote. But hey, give it a chance, you might like it. As far as price and console mangement goes, isn't it still speculation that the PS3 would come in two different packages?

This is a very shallow reason.
I'm cheap.
I like Nintendo.
And I'm poor.
Therefore you know, that the cheapest system will be in my possesion once again. I really don't have any other reasons. _________________ Running from your problems only wastes time... They always catch up either way.

ANOTHER comparison thread? Well, at least most of the thread has something other than one-liners. Ruffle Master: looking advanced and awesome graphics don't mean jack if there's no software to back it up.
Therefore, I stick with my Revolution. Nintendo all the way! 360 is pretty much a joke (damn Microsoft for getting exclusive rights to the DOA series). As for reasons of choosing the Revolution over the PS3, I already wrote them in another thread (which should probably be locked soon), and I'll quote it here:
Quote:
1) The controller
Gawk and complain all you want. This thing has potential. Hey, I don't mind Sony sticking to what works, but Nintendo has ALWAYS been known for making up new ways to play games, and I love them for that. So let's get to the controller itself. With it's little USB connection, you can probably hook that remote control up with almost anything that can be imagined by game designers. What I'm most looking foward to is the way the controller is going to play Metroid (an FPS, mind you).
2) Online Play
Yes, both PS3 and 360 both have online play as well. But does PS3 and 360 have Mario Kart? How about Smash Bros? Metroid? Animal Crossing? Pikmin? (I think you get my point). Sorry, kids. Those are all on the revolution. And as much as I loathe the franchise in it's current state, I would LOVE to see a Mario Party Online. Mario Kart and Smash Bros online ALONE will sell this console.
3) Backwards compatability with everything dating back from 1985
This can be argued that computer emulation has already taken care of that for us. However, I never believed ANY of the N64 games were meant to be played on the computer. Also, I would rather play Legend of Zelda on my good ol' TV screen with an old school controller than in front of my computer screen on this keyboard. It's the way it was meant to be played.
Quick equation: Legend of Zelda + Link to the Past + Ocarina of Time + Twilight Princess + 1 system = no competition.
4) Kingdom Hearts 2 and Final Fantasy XII
Wait, these are Playstation games!!! Yes they are, but there's one big detail that I forgot to put in: they are going to be released on the PS2. Because of that, besides Metal Gear, there really is nothing I'm looking foward to playing on the PS3. I can happily play both my S-E RPG's on my clunky PS2.
5) Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess
Wait, that's a Gamecube game! Yes it is (and it remains so, despite all those rumors a couple months ago). However, it is said that TP will be compatible with the revolution controller. Just think; swinging your Revolution controller and watching Link slice through a skeleton. It may seem novelty at first, but I'm pretty psyched about it nonetheless.
6) Nintendo R0x3rZ my s0xORz!!!
That's right. I'm a Nintendo fanboy. I have been since Duck hunt graced my little 13 inch color TV and I always will be. Yeah, Mario is a gaming whore and will stick his name on almost every game genre imaginable. However, almost anything and everything that Mario has touched has turned gold. With all these polygons and specs being thrown at me, I still hook up my good ol' N64 to relive my Goldeneye and Zelda 64 days. I still play Tetris Attack for the SNES and Smash Bros. for the Gamecube with my friends on a regular basis. I bought Final Fantasy III, Chrono Trigger, Donkey Kong Country and Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past for about 70+ bucks each (and you kids complain about prices today). I have been, am and always will be in love with Nintendo and it's wonderful array of characters. When I have children, I hope they'll experience Mario, Link and Samus in the wonderful ways that I have.
Nintendo 4 Life people! It's all about the software (games). That's why DS is winning in the handheld market. That's why I'm going to buy the Revolution first. Forget pretty graphics and how many frames fly by per second. Revolution is promising to be a system with MUCH more potential than both the graphical powerhouses of PS3 and 360 combined.
Revolution, simply because of controller, backwards compability and the fact that i think it will have the graphics of a 360, i've also never liked sony mostly due to their popularity with the casual(stupid) gamers of australia, they are stupid becoz they all thought that ps1 had better graphics than n64.
damn Microsoft for getting exclusive rights to the DOA series).
The only DOA I ever enjoyed involves the 8th letter of English alphabet. I never liked the fighting mechanics. Soul Calibur and Bloody Roar all the way!
I think we'll be seeing much less exclusive rights to a franchise though, so fans of all consoles rejoice!
I was tempted to get XBOX360 good thing i was broke during that time.
My main focus is on PS3 , i've been a sony fan and if NintentoREv is cheap as so ive heard i might buy that if i have enought cash
the only one i will buy (at least for now) is the ps3, because it as the two best sagas in videogame history, metal gear and final fantasy, in my opinion of course
