I got a 360, and luv it. Right now tho, im not into very many games. Looking forward to halo 3, halo wars, assassins creed, and PSU tho. The Wii looks promising, tho the new controler may cause some problems. Then again, it may revolutionize controlers! Like Nintendo, most games will be child oreinted, so for heavy action games, the 360 is better. But for us old school gamers who will never cheat on mario, then the Wii is gonna kick some major *&%! I could say the same for the American VG market. Sure, there's a lot of wierd ass games that come from Japan, but at least they're trying. Like T. Ed. for example. So many failed inventions, but also so many great inventions, like the iPod.

are you saying you like American games more? ...sports, FPS's, Car Driving...lots of killings.
but not all of them are THAT bad. (Hitman, GTA series)

for me it's probably ps3 but i won't be buying it at launsh, i have to finish playing all my ps2 games collection(100+ games) before i even think about getting a new console.
i hope konami announce a new game in ZOE series, i'll get whatever it's coming on..
i think there some very impressive game developers in both japan and the US (of course there are crappy developers too..)

I'm saddened that SEGA's left out. They've done so much in the current generation. They've even bought license from Havok to put more realistic physics for the next-gen Sonic title .
I'm glad you put level 5 up there, though. Very notable developer but not mentioned so much . Their role in the next generation is to release the first game that is most realistic that what the other titles has been missing. Which is when a character hits another character or object, the sword or the punch doesn't go through the person or the object at all. If you guys still don't know what I'm trying to say, check out White Knight Story. Too lazy to look for a higher video quality >.>;
Holy.....ok, i know this is off subject, because this is for PS3, but that trailer looked awsome! Well, there isn't any news about it, really. Pretty much everybody is anticipating for its arrival.
Xbox360:
Last month, Microsoft sold their Xbox 360 Core units for $256 USD ($86 cheaper than in US) and they were bundled with 2 free games: Project Gotham 3 and Ninety-Nine Nights. That attempt failed and now Microsoft is planning to produce 100,000 Core units bundled with Blue Dragon retailing for $250. 10,000 of those units are going to Limted Edition that comes with an original table calendar, a special Blue Dragon faceplate illustrated by Akira Toriyama (well known for DB/DBZ and character design for Chrono Trigger), and 5 game character figures, and the game itself all being sold at the same price as the regular edition, which has sold out right away from online pre-orders. According to 1up one store claims that all of their allotment was sold out in 5 minutes.
Old news but worth mentioning:
-Xbox360 DVD drives that makes it hard to be hacked has arrived. Hitachi model GDR-3120L and v0078FK version tag has changed the chips, firmware, and removed some stuff. THe most notable thing added that'll make it almost impossible to hack is an added glue on chip pins and controller pins. Pic here.
-Xbox360 accessory, HD-DVD drive, will cost $199.99 USD
PS3
Sony may not rich its shipment target of 2 million units by the end of the year, due to production problems (shortage of blue diode lasers for Blu-ray Drives). The bluetooth enabled controller called 'Sixaxis' has unremovable batteries and they would retail for $49.99. lol, it's funny how people griped of not going to buy a Wii console because the controller will cost $30 USD . Sony branded HDMI cables would also retail for $49.99. First-party games will cost $60. Well, at least the systems will be bundled with a Blu-ray movie "Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby" (for North America).
EDIT: a Sony spokesperson told GI.biz, "This is a purely speculative story and is largely untrue. The latest generation of Lithium Polymer batteries hardly suffer any memory effect at all, so it'll be many years before there's any degradation in terms of battery performance."
The spokesperson went on to confirm, "When and if this happens, then of course we will be providing a service to exchange these items."
EDIT2: after a court battle against Lik Sang, Sony now claims that any importing of PS1, PS2, PSP, and the upcoming PS3 is illegal.

you mean the fact that they left console production competition with nintendo, sony and MS?
if that's what you mean, all i can say is it can't be helped (at least for now..), mean while we can still play thier games and that's better than nothing, at some point they were on the brink of being bought by microsoft or nintendo, even thier merger with sammy was more like a violant take over..

No, I meant SEGA as in software production, not hardware. Although, I am also saddened in that area as well. But they contributed a lot in the software area, though not noticeable because they're being overshadowed by the big players like EA or Square-ENIX who's been playing in their feild ever since before SEGA started focusing on making games..
SEGA was never in competition against Microsoft. It was only with Sony and Nintendo. And I am glad that Microsoft implemented on SEGA's Dreamcast design instead of buying the company out. Which I am happy for Sammy's merger that'll help bring in more competition to the playing ground.

Why are the better than 360? What exactly makes them any better, IMO they're all the same since they all offer games that are interesting. Except for P$3 since Sony offers the dang thig for twice a Xbox core system.

Japan produces more bad games on a annual basis than good games, it's just that their are more good Japanese games released here than bad ones. BTW.. This is a site where anime fans gather so there should be a little more fanboyism towards the japanese console makers, dont get offended, also the xbox and the xbox 360 bad games aren't helping the case... fine fine I ll give you the HAlO, HALO2, HALO3, HALO4, HALO5..... HALO360 to all you xbox360 fans, even gears of war is a good game and I haven't even played it, but the xbox/xbox360 is too much towards one genre, the shooting one, with a few exceptions of course. Therefore is not as godly as the japanese consoles with all those mario and pokemon, final fantasy, resident evil, even hentai.... I mean dating sims games, which has a broader appeal to many other people besides you xbox lovers. Besides GTA which i call super innovative is not an american game... its a scottish idea(I might be wrong?)..

Anyway, as for the topic, 360 was better than the PS3 since the only difference with it is the graphics of PS3 is better than the 360. And 360 have better and more games currently than PS3 as to now. Unlike when PS2 is reign supreme because PS2 have more 3rd party developers than the 2 other consoles.
And as for the Wii, its the greatest console in this current generation. Im sure of it!
It surpass the other consoles just as like Nintendo did during the video game crah of 1983...
