Those Who Hunt Cooking Manga

Unfortunately, these manga are few and far between. One must seriously hunt them to find them, but usually all are great reads in their own rights!

The only ones I know of so far are...

Cooking Master Boy - unlicensed
The adventures of a boy in ancient China who goes around seeking seven cooking artifacts to destroy an evil cooking society. Adventure-ish with lots of explainations of the virtures of chinese cooking!

Iron Wok Jan - licensed
With the growing trend of Chinese food in Japan, this manga follows Jan Akiyama as he tries to prove that 'Cooking is about Competition'. Another manga that speaks of the various virtures of Chinese Cooking in a modern setting, while also following an Iron Chef theme with all of their battles.

Yakitate! Japan - unlicensed (Hosted by A-S!)
A manga about Bread! Azuma Kazuma, born with the gift of Solar Hands, does his best to create a bread that the world can easily link to Japan. Heavy uses of puns and comedic reactions to the various bread will have you laughing! Or scratching your head confused... Either way, it's a good read!

Addicted to Curry - unlicensed
Koenji Makito is a curry chef, doing his best to save Sonezaki Yui's curry restaurant from being taken over by a greedy company. Many recipes within this one, the characters are memorable, and you gain a sudden appreciation for Curry! The manga has an intriguing storyline and the mysterious Makito's history is slowly revealed as time goes on... Definitely pick this up if you get the chance!

If anyone knows of any more, list them here ^^ Mention if they are or are not licensed and say what kind of cooking they are of!

I don't hunt for them.

If I come across a good one, then so be it. ^^ I'll read it.

I mean, if it's good, I'm sure someone will eventually introduce it to me. Yakitate, for example, was introduced to me by my sister.

Now she's the one who hunts for manga and anime. ><

*laughs* I've been hunting for Iron Wok Jan volume 13. None of the stores are able to special order it! >.< It's getting to the point where I'll have to special order it off the website.
