suikoden 2, was the best in my opinion, it had luca blight who kicked ass.

I voted for Suikoden 2 as well, as did the majority here. Luca Blight was sick, making that woman bleat like a pig so she wouldn't die, and killing her anyway. "Beatiful Morning", Nanami's theme, is my favorite video game tune, very upbeat and cheery.

I voted for Genso Suikoden 1 & 2.

But if I'm only choosing one, I'd go with part one, for the sake of the story, soundtrack, and straight forward gameplay. Both parts 1 & 2 were really touching, but the first one really got to me... the whole idea of the son who leaves his nobility with his close friends, and amasses an army to surpass his dad and... well you get the idea.

Im a long fan of the Suikoden series starting from the first and so far I am still on the favor of Suikoden II as my favorite at the moment. But now, as I am reading more and more information about Suikoden V... I am thinking that it will be able to top or atleast get on equal levels with Suikoden II.

Though I think the main character (the prince) is too "pretty" or something like that lol...

Hehe, as my firm and my username states, my favorite Suikoden is Suikoden II.
In fact, is my favorite RPG ever.
I fall in love with the powerfull story, those great characters, the awesome and adictive gameplay.

And Luca Blight is the best villain ever.
And Nanami is my favorite game girl ever. She's lovely! Yeay Nanami!!! Its kawaii, strong, caring, the perfect girl!!

I wish to see Nanami again in a Suiko game!! Konami, grant me that!!

Suikoden 2, a great RPG!

Finally! People who actually realize what a real RPG villain is! Luca Blight was such a badass villain. A really good villain is one that you hate so much, that by the time you beat him, you feel accomplished. Not only was Luca a fantastic villain, but he was actually pretty hard to take down. How can you not feel satisfied to see Luca die after all that he did to the people in the game? And the way you had to kill him... 18 people and several hundred arrows just to friggin take the man down.
