Most interesting manga character

i was just thinking, because it would be an interesting subject, what is your favorite character in manga, and why. i think my favorite manga character is naruto, because he wants to be very famous, and doesnt realize that everyone around him thinks the things he wants to do is impossible.

Kensin is pretty cool with his cold face but Itachi also the same they both super tank.

You know....this could be a very interesting thread if it wernt gonna be so spammed up with one liners (which is obviously is gonna be)...

As far as my favorit character goes....well...there are many out there...but I'm gonna have to say Asuna Langley from Neon Genesis Evangelion because of her developed personality...
I find her very interesting because of how she copes with situations by acting vey assurtive, determind and evn bostefull...when we all know that she actualy has a very doubtfull nature...mostly about how ppl will perciev her...

She is also at the perfect comming of age time...and this will all readers to see how her personality develops from the bigginning of the manga to the end (if it ever does have a conclusion)...

Despite her "issue"..she is like any other 14 year old girl...wanting to be able to love and be loved and sometimes giving in to her .."desires" (best way I could describe it)...well...like I said...this is part of the coming of age thing..

And to finish all this (because I could add much more)...she pilots a cool mecha and is pretty cute Razz

Ooo.. this is hard. I would have to say Jan Akiyama from Iron Wok Jan. He is not your average protaganist, and you know he is since the book is named after him and the viewpoint is always based around him. He will do anything to win, anything well within specified rules anyway, and is very prideful. "Cooking is a Competition!" is his motto, and he will dust any opponent who says Akiyama's Magic isn't good enough!

He's loud, he's obnoxious, he has lots of talent... that, and his chinese cooking is rarely equaled, except by other certain main characters. He has an interesting past as well!

In closing, despite being a cooking manga (or because of it), Jan Akiyama, quite honestly, makes the most interesting character out of all the manga I've read.

I think the most interesting manga character is Sakuragi Hanamichi from Slam Dunk. He always has this cocky attitude but when it comes to his games he becames a beast

Keitaro. He's immortal. I mean like, look at all the damage he takes from the girls around him, and he's still alive. Plus in the manga he gets good at martial arts and looks kinda cool =p

i would say Sosuke Sagara from full metal panic he is really cool but lacks of common sense i also like really air headed gails like Pai from 3x3 eyes

I think one of my favorite characters is Inoue Orihime from Bleach. It's kind of sad that Tite Kobe gave her a large chest, because I think she's one of the best characters to come along in a while.

I mean, her background is really sad! Abusive parents, lost her brother at a young age, but she didn't turn into a moody person who uses her past to blame her present. Having lost my mother to cancer at age 7, and my step mother 13 years later, I know that sometimes life likes to kick you in the shins and run off laughing. Even still, I don't regret my life. There are lots of things I would have liked to have been different, but I still hold my head up and keep a smile on my face.

Like Orihime, I believe that optimism and spreading cheer is the best!

Right now i've only read a few manga...

So i am gonna have to go with Sakura from naruto.
Not entirely sure why i like her as much as i do though.

definitely sakuragi hanamichi....hes the most interesting and unique character there is...
not only hes cocky but hes a pure genius when making nicknames..lol
everything he does and says makes everyone laugh...also the red hair makes his character more interesting...you dont really see a lot of red haired guy in any manga frequently. His upside on basketball skill is phenomenal...id love to have him on my team..
