dbz and naruto....

i think all animes are starting to form around other animes. many are copied and changed so make it seem original.

Yeah Naruto is sorta like Dragonball Z but with chakra, you can do more than just shoot out laserbeams

Lol I can see the similarities in both the animes but Naruto doesnt have those annoying reused animations and the "Three Minute" fight scenes that last for over a week lol..

well im sure if you can say they copied dbz. I mean when someones immensed in power, how do you expect them to show it? If you want pure originality...well maybe they can just think about it and just tell us what they are doing and planning all the time..wait...thats yugioh. Everything overlaps eachother and its something that we have to grow accustomed to. However, when Lee was opening the gates when he was fighting gaara, he reminded me of Vegeta

i guess the more they try to make the story longer (because it gets pretty famous) the more they will follow the dbz footsteps irregardless it was intentionally or not...

As long as they dont push the limits of someone's power to the max, and make everyone unreasonably strong with unreasonable effects like they did in DBZ (i.e. Vegeta in the early episodes was able to destroy a planet without trying, but when he is at his max power and fights someone much later in the series and "misses" an energy blast, it hits the ground but the world is still there) In Naruto we've seen what godly ninja can do in the battle of the 3rd hokage and orochimaru, as long as they dont make it where any ninja can fly and shoot a ki blast, I think the show will be fine.

Also, the detailed story kind of lost point when the fillers came, so the are already a step behind dbz lol

im afraid naruto will turns into somewhat similar to dbz. just think naruto in the form with 4 tails can fight only using his chakra and starts to shoot powerful beams (that look like kamehameha). so his fighting style in the form with 9 tails (if he ever turns into it) will be incredible.

yea they do seem alike but what are u going to do about it!? and oh well every manga copies another one if only slightly its happened before and will happen again and like i said what are u going to do about it !?

and anyway naurto will always be a little different

Hi. I agree with eclispse. Some times there will be parts that overlap each other and that there will always be a small difference. I also agree that it can't be avoided. ^-^" I guess in some parts Naruto was similar to DBZ. The way how Sasuke does chindori was similar to the kamehameha thing. Like the style and the positioin of there hands are the same. ^-^"

Yea i must say. They are alike but they're not totally alike that you'll notice it at first glance. Naruto is based on ninja things. likes kung fu and techniques. But Dbz is like.. getting strong and whooping ppls asses around. + saving the earth.

I must say that both of them are pretty similar.
It will be interesting to see what will the author come up next so that the parallel is not so apparent (well... now it is quite apparent).

well the author of naruto is a big fan of dragonball so he is probably showing homage to Akira Toriyama.
